Beijing, 30 Oct (Xinhua) -- Reporter Yang Shu learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that in the first three quarters of this year, China's gross marine product was 6.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.5 percent year-on-year, the momentum of development of new marine kinetic energy is good, the pace of scientific and technological innovation and sustainable development is accelerating, and the marine economy is making steady progress, laying a good foundation for the stable operation of the marine economy throughout the year.
Cui Xiao, deputy director of the National Ocean Information Center, said that since the beginning of this year, China's offshore oil and gas development efforts have continued to increase, and oil and gas production has increased steadily. "Deep Sea No. 1", Liuhua 16-2, Luda 6-2 and other offshore oil and gas fields have been put into operation, and the national marine crude oil production has increased by 7.6% year-on-year, an average growth rate of 6.6% in two years, and the growth rate is 1.2 percentage points faster than that in the first half of the year. Offshore natural gas production increased by 6.3% year-on-year, with a two-year average growth of 11.2%.
The development of marine clean energy is also strong, and the green transformation of the marine industry is accelerating. In the first three quarters, China's coastal areas accelerated the construction progress of offshore wind power projects, and the new grid-connected capacity of offshore wind power increased by 166% year-on-year。 Fujian launched the "Offshore Wind Power + Offshore Ranching" integrated development pilot project to maximize the use of marine resources and achieve a double harvest of ecological and economic benefits. Green ships are developing with low carbon and rapid development, and the proportion of environmentally friendly powered ships in China's newly undertaken sea vessel orders and delivery orders has increased by 4.4 percentage points and 3.5 percentage points respectively compared with 2020.
In addition, new breakthroughs have been made in key areas of marine science and technology to empower industrial upgrading. The successful application of the "Offshore Oil 119" oil storage and unloading device and the "Deep Blue Exploration" drilling platform, the first deep-water oil production tree and control module rolled off the production line, and the first set of underwater emergency well sealers was successfully tested, marking the further optimization and upgrading of China's offshore oil and gas industry chain supply chain. The pace of China's offshore wind power enterprises "going out" has accelerated, the 3.2MW and 4.0MW units in Vietnam have been successfully hoisted, and the 3.0MW offshore wind turbine has entered the European market for the first time. The shore power application demonstration project of Qinhuangdao-Caofeidian Oilfield group in the Bohai Sea was successfully put into operation, and new progress was made in the green development of the offshore oil industry.
