Guangdong is the first major lychee producing area in China, and the average of two lychees in the country is from Guangdong. This year, Guangdong lychee has another bumper harvest, with an expected output of 1.4371 million tons. In addition to selling well in China, Guangdong has also played a set of "combination punches" to help Lingnan Jiaguo drift overseas.
On May 20th, Guangdong Lychee appeared on the big screen of ten major city landmarks in different countries in different time zones; since June, the Global Sharing tasting activity of Guangdong Lychee in Guangdong, China has been held in San Francisco, Paris, France, Vancouver, Canada, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and other global cities... According to the data of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province, under the strong impetus of cross-border e-commerce models and overseas publicity and promotion, Guangdong has exported more than 15,000 tons of lychees overseas this year. This means that 1 out of every 100 Guangdong lychees this year is sold overseas.
According to the data of the Guangdong Branch of the General Administration of Customs, the export volume of fresh lychees in Guangdong in 2020 was 5902 tons, and in 2019, Guangdong lychees exported 3425 tons. That is to say, although it has suffered the impact of domestic and international epidemics, Guangdong Lychee still broke through many obstacles and achieved growth against the trend. Among them, "China Lixiang" Maoming has exported more than 1335 tons of lychees this year, an increase of 190% year-on-year; 127,000 tons of lychees in Guangzhou are basically sold out, of which exports have earned 10 million US dollars.
From the map, the footprint of Guangdong Lychee has reached more than 20 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and so on.
With the escort of multiple measures such as fast customs clearance, today, the Guangdong lychee that "changes color in one day, changes in fragrance in two days, and changes taste in three days" "from picking to overseas export, the time will not exceed 24 hours", and the future will definitely go further.
