On October 30, news came from the AFC that they had finalized the plan for the referees who will enforce the final of this season's AFC Champions League, and the Uae referee Mohammed Hassan, who has previously enforced the round of 12 matches and Vietnam matches, will serve as the referee of the game, and the other members of the referee team who will enforce the game are from the United Arab Emirates.
According to the calendar, the champions and runners-up finals of this season's AFC Champions League will be played on November 23 at Mulsol Park Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, home to Saudi giants Al Nasr. However, Al Nasr was eliminated 1–2 by another team from Saudi Arabia, Al Hilal, in the AFC Champions League semi-finals (West Asia regional final). As a result, Al Hilal will compete for the AFC Champions League title this season with representatives from the East Asian region, the Pohang Ironman of South Korea. According to the rules of the game, if the two sides cannot decide the winner or loser within 90 minutes, a 30-minute extra time match will continue, and if the two sides draw again, the final champion will be decided through a penalty shootout.
The AFC Referee Committee decided to appoint Mohammed Hassan as the referee of the match. Hassan had played the third round of the Round of 12 between China and Vietnam, when China won 3-2.
Next month, he will travel to Hanoi, Vietnam, to enforce the fifth round of Vietnam's home match against Japan's Round of 12 on November 11. The two assistant referees who enforced the AFC Champions League final are also from the UAE. They are Mohammed Ahmed and Hassan Mahri. The two bottom line referees are Adel Nakbi and Ahmed Rashid. Two video assistant referees, Amar El Genebi and Omar Mohammed Ali, both from the UAE.
