Adapted from Frank Herbert's novel of the same name, Dune won the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award, the film "The Originator of Science Fiction" has been called "the most difficult work to be adapted into a film" for its complex stage setting and the large number of inner monologues and psychological depictions of the characters in the story. It is also very difficult to adapt it into a manga.
The core member of the team that adapted Dune's three comics, the son of Frank Herbert and the new York Times best-selling author, brings assurance to the original comics of originality and quality.
Regarding the original dune comic, the creative team said: "We have no intention of making our interpretation of Dune, nor do we want to modify the story and add our elements. We just hope that this comic is "Dune", and every chapter and scene is faithful to the original. Of course, this does not mean that every action or every line of dialogue in the original book is included, after all, a painting is worth a thousand words. We wanted to interpret this ambitious story the way Frank Herbert originally did. Since the original novel is divided into three parts, the manga will also be divided into three parts. ”
The creative team said they were very satisfied with the final result of the first dune comic and looked forward to the next two, hoping that the comic would attract a new audience to understand Frank Herbert's adventurous universe.
