Gayana Eco Resort is located in the lush jungle of the coral reef islands of Koh Lo Chau in Malaysia. It is not only a resort, but also a scientific research and education base for marine life conservation. The Marine Ecology Research Center here has been engaged in environmental research projects for the breeding of endangered giant clams and the restoration of natural coral reefs for many years.
It is said that there are only 8 giant clams in the world, and there are 7 research centers here. If you're lucky, you can see giant clams laying their eggs in large numbers, and you can see pregnant hippocampus resting in the fertility box. You can also interact with starfish through a "touchable" water tank. True ocean lovers can participate in the Coral Restoration and Replanting Program – a marine program where participants have the opportunity to replant corals onto the reef with their own hands.
