Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones recently gave an interview to The Times and responded to the criticis of celebrity Ferdinand.
Jones has been injured in recent years and has not played for United's first team since January 2020. Rio Ferdinand has previously said directly on the show that Jones was wasting time, saying he occupies a first-team position that should belong to the youngsters.
After the remarks came out, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has publicly defended Jones, saying that Jones is working hard to get back to his healthy body and condition, and Ferdinand has since apologized and said that he is not aware of Jones's recent injuries.
Jones responded to Ferdinand's previous criticism in a recent interview with The Times, saying: "Listen, I have a lot of respect for Ferdinand, I used to share a locker room with him, he is a great professional player. I enjoyed playing with him, he was great, had a great sense of humor and I learned a lot from him. ”
"But what he said was really bad, it sucked. I don't like arguing with people, but if he doesn't know the inside story, then he just doesn't. ”
