The Scythians are gone, and the flute in the hard years is still there.

In the basic exhibition "Road to Rejuvenation" at the National Museum of China, Mr. Pan He's 1956 work "Hard Times" is on display. The old Red Army played the flute, and the little Red Army snuggled next to him with the butt of his gun, his face full of longing.

Have you ever stopped in front of this exhibit in the exhibition for a long time?

Mr. Pan He was born in 1925 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Sculptor, sculptor educator. He began to engage in artistic activities in 1940, and is a tenured professor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the honorary chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association. He has created more than 100 large-scale outdoor sculpture works, distributed in the squares of 68 cities in China, and many of his works have won the highest gold medal and best award at the national level. Dozens of indoor sculptures are collected by national art galleries, museums and provincial and municipal public art galleries. He put forward the views that "the main way out of sculpture is outdoors" and "socialism is the best soil for urban sculpture", and introduces urban sculpture creation courses into the category of higher art education.

Just three days before Mr. Pan He's death, the "Chinese Sketches - Invitation Exhibition of Works of Famous Modern and Contemporary Artists" (the first time) was launched at the National Museum of China, in which three of Mr. Pan He's sketches were exhibited. After the exhibition is exhibited to the public, there are sometimes audiences who stop to admire.
