The Forbidden City observes the sundial of time
When we usually read books and newspapers, or communicate with people, we often see and say words such as "moment", "instant", "snap finger", "whisker", etc., which are very short-lived concepts of time. But how long do they last? Is there a difference between these words?
We can find a clear answer from the ancient Sanskrit texts, which are recorded in the Vinaya: "One moment is one thought, twenty thoughts are one moment, twenty moments are one finger, twenty fingers are one lo- pre-prop, twenty-lo-lo is one-bearded, one day, one night, thirty-whiskers." ”
Based on this, a specific time can be deduced. That is, there are 4.8 million "moments" or 240,000 "moments" in a day and night, 12,000 "snap fingers", 30 "whiskers", and then calculate carefully, there are 86,400 seconds in a day and night. Then, a "whisker" is equal to 2880 seconds (48 minutes); a "snap finger" is 7.2 seconds; the "moment" is 0.36 seconds, and the "moment" is only 0.018 seconds.

the original "moment" is only 0.018 seconds, oh my God, a blink of an eye has passed a few moments!

Time is like an arrow, the sun and the moon are like shuttles, cherish time, cherish the present, my generation spares no effort.
Therefore, when writing articles and communicating, in order to express the exact meaning, the above concepts should be chosen carefully.
