Er Dongsheng was born in a film and television family in Hong Kong, China. His father, Er Guang, was a Hong Kong film producer and director; his mother, Hong Wei, was a film actor who was popular all over the beach that year. He also has two well-known half-brothers, namely Qin Pei, who is known as the "Evergreen Tree of Acting", and Jiang David, who was the first to be named "Asia-Pacific Film Emperor".
In the family, there are nearly 20 elders who have developed in the film industry, involving production, director, cinematography, actors and other film fields. Therefore, in Er Dongsheng's memory, when he was young, he often appeared between the recording studio and the set, as familiar as at home. In 1983, Lei Xun, a ranger in "Three Breaks into Shaolin", was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Lei Xun cleared his suspicions for his friends and broke into Shaolin three times. When he was young, Er Dongsheng martial arts can be described as flowing in the clouds, with Tension and Relaxation and Thrilling and Dangerous.
Sword eyebrows, melancholy temperament, heroic and compelling, perfectly interpreting what kind of temperament a hermit master should have. In his more than twenty Shaw films, the Ming Sect in "The Book of the Dragon Slayer" advocates no scruples, and Ah Fei in "The Ruthless Sword of the Amorous Swordsman" are all well-known characters.

When he was only in his twenties, he was on a par with the first-line young students of the Shaw clan at that time, such as Dillon, Fu Sheng, and Liu Yong. Er Dongsheng has been acting for ten years, but he frankly said that he was not interested in martial arts, believing that martial arts were illusory and unrealistic. He was very popular, but he never wanted to be here.
Er Dongsheng said in an interview: "I am a person who likes to take risks. Only when I am a screenwriter or director, my fate will be in my own hands, and I will control my future without waiting for others to give me a chance. He was not willing to be an idol actor all the time, and just when others saw his acting career as a good day, he began to learn to write and direct in order to gain his creative freedom and initiative.
In 1981, Er Dongsheng's brother Qin Pei and Jiang David formed a film company. He said to his two brothers, "Let's make a funny martial arts movie." Written by Er Dongsheng, with Qin Pei as the producer and villain, and Jiang David directing and acting himself, the three brothers jointly completed this movie "Owl", which frantically subverts and mocks the famous characters and bridges in Gu Long's novel.
