Chengdu, October 29 news (reporter Chang Sirong) Recently, it has arrived at the migratory bird migration season. It is understood that the migration of migratory birds within Sichuan is divided into three main migration routes in the east, central and west, all of which are in a north-south direction. The eastern part is mainly migratory birds that migrate in from shaanxi province to the south, passing through the valley of the Jialing River in eastern Sichuan and entering the territory of Chongqing and Guizhou; the central part mainly follows the Longquan Mountains, passes through the Chengdu Plain, and enters the territory of Guizhou and Yunnan; the western part mainly migrates along the Hengduan Mountains from Aba Prefecture, through Ya'an, Liangshan, Panzhihua and other places.
Migratory birds mostly fly along mountains and rivers, and the most flying through Sichuan are water birds, followed by birds of prey. Recently, in Hanyuan County and Ruoerge Wetland Reserve in Sichuan Province, a large number of migratory birds have ushered in a large number of "rest punching cards".
Hanyuan enjoys the reputation of "the first city of Sunshine in Panxi", "HuahaiGuo Township, Sunshine Hanyuan", etc., and Hanyuan Lake is also the largest artificial lake in the southwest region, with an area of 84 square kilometers, with a superior geographical environment and pleasant climate. In November last year, Hanyuan, whose sky was blue and the water was clear and green, welcomed a group of "rare guests" from afar, the red-billed gulls. Every November, red-billed gulls migrate from cold Siberia to the south of the warm Yangtze River basin, overwinter in lakes and rivers, and fly back north in February of the following year to breed. Recently, the "vanguard troops" of old friend Red-billed Gull came to Hanyuan again, half a month earlier than last year.

On the shore of Hanyuan Lake, the breeze blows, and a group of cute elves, red-billed gulls, are welcomed on the lake. These seagulls from afar stretch their wings and fly freely over Hanyuan Lake, sometimes skimming over the water, using their red claws to pluck the waves and flowers, adding a lot of agility and beauty to the beauty of the lake and mountains.
Red-billed gulls are commonly known as "water pigeons", body shape and coat color are similar to pigeons, mouth and feet are red, most of the body feathers are white, tail feathers are black, like to live in groups, when spreading their wings and flying high, they are like white fairies. Red-billed gulls like to choose local activities with quiet environments and good water quality.

Sichuan Ruoerge Wetland National Nature Reserve was founded in 1994 with a core area of 64,694 hectares. Ruoerge Wetland is not only the world's largest alpine peat swamp wetland, but also an important water source conservation area for the two major rivers of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, enjoying the reputation of the Yellow River "Reservoir", "the hometown of China's black-necked cranes", and "the kidney of China's western plateau".
It is currently the migratory bird migration season, and with the recent sharp decline in the climate, a large number of migratory birds have stopped and stayed in the reserve, which has become a "transit station" for them to forage for food and replenish energy. In order to ensure the safe migration of migratory birds, since October, the reserve has begun to strengthen the patrol and supervision of migratory birds in autumn and winter, and carried out key monitoring of key areas such as Flower Lake and Haqiu Lake. The reserve is now home to a variety of migratory birds such as white bone-tops, red-headed ducks, green-headed ducks, red-billed ducks, pintail ducks, grey geese, and bantou geese.

The black-necked crane is a large flying wader with a total length of about 120 cm. The whole body is gray and white, the neck and legs are relatively long, the top of the head and the eyes are exposed to the dark red, mainly inhabiting the plateau, meadows, swamps and reed swamps at an altitude of 2500-5000 meters, and is the only crane in the world that grows and breeds in the plateau.
