One thing a day opens the door to the biodiversity of the Red River
Sasia ochracea is a small bird with a body length of 8 to 9 cm. The forehead is golden yellow, the eyebrow lines are white, and the dark head is very prominent. The upper body is a mixture of brown and olive green, and the lower body is all dark brown. The tail is shorter and black. The mouth is also black. The feet are orange-yellow or yellow. The characteristics of the field are very obvious and not difficult to identify. China has yet to find similar species. It inhabits broad-leaved and secondary forests, especially in the lower and middle layers of bamboo forests. Foraging on the branches of tree trunks often makes a slight tapping sound. Native species are found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. In China, it is mainly distributed in the southwest, south and southeast of Yunnan 5261, Guizhou Rongjiang, Xinhua and Guangxi Yaoshan, and Honghe Prefecture is mainly distributed in the national nature reserves. Listed on the IUCN Red List: Non-Threatened Species (LC), 2012 assessment. This species has been included in the "List of Terrestrial Wild Animals Protected by the State or of Important Economic and Scientific Research Value" issued by the State Forestry Administration of China on August 1, 2000.
