Riyadh, 29 Oct (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry announced on 29 October that it would recall its ambassador to Lebanon and at the same time asked The Lebanese ambassador to Leave the country within 48 hours.
Saudi media quoted a statement from the country's Foreign Ministry on the same day as saying that the Lebanese information minister had previously made offensive remarks against Saudi Arabia, which were full of false and fabricated content. The remarks represent the unfriendly position of some Lebanese officials towards Saudi Arabia and its policies.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry also announced that it would stop importing goods from Lebanon and would take a series of follow-up measures.
According to Bahraini media reports on the 29th, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry asked the Lebanese ambassador to Leave Bahrain within 48 hours on the same day as a response to the unacceptable offensive remarks made by Lebanese officials in recent days.
According to reports, Qatar's Al Jazeera broadcast a statement on the situation in Yemen by Lebanese Information Minister George Kurdashee in a program on the 26th. Kurdashhi said on the show that the Saudi-led multinational coalition in the war in Yemen is "absurd", Saudi Arabia and other countries' troops "attacked the Yemeni people" in the war, and the Yemeni Houthi armed forces are engaged in a "war of self-defense".
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 27th, saying that Kurdash's remarks on Yemen and Saudi Arabia were published before he took office, which was a private statement and did not represent lebanon's official position.
