In August, our team shared the Dark Immortal development update, which focused on key key areas that we would revisit and upgrade after closing the Alpha test. After gaining insight into feedback from Channels like Reddit, social media, in-game surveys, and even collaborating with players in our community, we see that we can iterate on a lot of core game systems on our way to beta testing. Today, we start our closed test, and we can't wait to share the exciting changes we've made. Let's get started!

Note: Dark Immortal is still in development. The game content in the private beta is not the final version and is subject to change.

New career

Diablo: Immortal Overseas Beta 10.29 Opens: Necromancer debuts

Trap your enemies with the undead, and even the demons that burn hell will be terrified.

Resurrection of corpses to protect the living. Curse your mortal enemies with forbidden skills. Bring the plague to the enemy. A intolerable person, someone who underestimates your power knows nothing about the serious mistakes they make. Only your command echoes in eternity.

Resurrection of the undead. Resurrection Helper. The Necromancer has arrived (he is one of the six classes that will be available when the Global Launch is released).

Dispute loop changes

The journey to the Eternal Crown is arduous and gripping. This requires Shadow Society players to unite under one banner to form a Dark Clan, compete with other Dark Clans in the Exile Ceremony, and eventually achieve the top Dark Clan, qualified to challenge the Immortals. Shadow, who wins the exile ceremony, will enter a new late PvP confrontation. In the final battle, the Immortals will use their ancient powers to transform into quest bosses to defend their reign. The Immortal Challenge pits 30 (Shadow Society) players against 1 (Immortal), a defining moment in the larger strife cycle. The results will ripple throughout the server.

PVP updates

In addition to the exciting features in the strife loop, other iterations of PvP systems will also make their debuts.

Those who aspire to be the strongest PVP players in the game will have the opportunity to show their skills. The Battlefield Ladder is coming soon, allowing players to compete with other players on the server.

Now is the perfect time to join the battle, as we will also make changes to the class balance, kill times, and other elements that affect battlefield PVP in Diablo Immortal.

Set items

In addition to the above changes, a new post-game item equipment system has been added. In the Closed Beta test, set items will be available for secondary equipment slots. Once a player has equipped a sufficient number of the same set of equipment, he will receive additional rewards.

To elaborate on this new system, each "suit" is used for the same six gear slots, including hands, feet, rings (2), neck and waist. Each set has two unique rewards: one is to wear three pieces and the other is to wear six pieces. So, in the end you can get two rewards for wearing a full set, or combine two different three-piece sets to get two different three-piece rewards.

The suit's effects will target attributes such as General Attack, Survival/Health, Quick Movement, Sustained Damage, Summon Pets, or Arena Effects, allowing players to mix and match depending on their desired play style.

Enhanced items drop

Active players who strive to accumulate peak levels or seek challenges by venturing out in content of higher difficulty will reap greater rewards. Both routes give you the chance to drop more powerful items. More powerful items will allow players to battle the minions of Hell on higher difficulty and receive greater rewards.

HellBones Box update

Summon up your courage and gather your friends. More chaos is descending on the HellBones. Hellbone Box Boss is now designed for 8 player quests. This is one of the many changes we've made to PvE to make it more challenging and reward players who complete these goals every week.

PVE update

In addition to the HellBones, we're also in the process of updating various PvE activities. We wanted to give players the freedom to choose whether to go for a bounty, or the Ancient Vault or the Dungeon to improve their character. You can choose the activities you want to participate in, and whatever you choose, you can earn progress on the Battle Pass. The rewards of the bounty have been transferred to the Battle Pass, so players have the flexibility to get rewards in any way they want.

Brushing dungeons is a hallmark of the Diablo experience – pursuing loot and getting new gear is a key factor in our game fun formula. We've made The Challenge Secrets a core part of your gear upgrades, especially for higher-level Challenge Secrets. For players who want to get their hands on the highest level of equipment, look for new upgrade materials in the Challenge Secret Realm that cannot be obtained by other means.

Credit support

We've heard the players' cries very clearly, and our long-term goal is to provide full controller support for the Dark Immortal. But we haven't reached that goal yet, and there's more work to be done. The closed beta version will allow players to experience this feature in advance. This early version allowed players to travel the world and fight monsters using a gamepad. Earlier versions of this handle require the following important considerations:

· The closed beta does not include handle support for UI menus such as backpacks, skills, classics, peak systems, or merchants. You still need to use the touch screen to navigate the user interface.

· Not all handles are supported. The compatibility of the device is part of our testing objectives during our private beta.

· You may experience some technical issues, such as the handle disconnecting.

Closed beta supported handles:

· Xbox One wireless Bluetooth controller

· Xbox Series X|S Bluetooth controller

· Xbox Elite CreditSeries 2

· Xbox Adaptive Controller

· Sony Dualshock 4

· Razer Kishi

Note: More mobile compatible handles will be supported for global release.

We look forward to your feedback and we are working hard to make the game easier for more people to play.

Other changes

In addition to these exciting PvP and PvE changes, more tweaks and improvements are also being made silently, including classic, pinnacle, and empirical system tweaks. Many of these tweaks and changes are designed to smooth out the level and upgrade experience. For example, the UI of the Classics Strength Upgrade System has been improved to provide players with a clearer upgrade route through tutorials and objectives.

Optional in-game purchase

For the first time, the closed beta version will support in-game purchases on Android devices. This is an important milestone in the development of our forward species. We want all Dark Immortal players to be happy with their investment in the game and hope that any purchase they choose will deliver the value they expect. Validating the game's appeal in this way is an important part of ensuring a smooth release, while also allowing us to continue to support the game's subsequent development in the days to come. Players will be able to purchase Enhanced Battle Passes, Orbs of Eternity (which can be used to purchase consumables such as in-game heraldry), and promotional packs. For more information on the development team's approach to monetization in Diablo Immortality, see our free-to-play game design and philosophy article.

Note: All purchases made during closed beta will be credited to your account balance when the game is released. After the closed test, all progress in the game is cleared.

For example, if you spend $5.00 during the private beta, and you download and link your Battle.net account after the official release, you will get a $5.00 game balance. This game balance can then be used when you make a paid purchase.
