Recently, Thailand has a new "national sweetheart" – a small manatee named Marim.
Only 5 months old, Marem was lost with his mother in the waters near Thailand and was later rescued in the southern Thai province of Krabi.

The little manatee is very clingy, often clinging to the keeper, Thailand's Ministry of Ocean and Coastal Resources (DMCR) called her "Thai sweetheart", and the photos of the little manatee have gone viral on the Internet and are deeply loved by the Thai people.
The researchers named the baby manatee "Marem," which in the local dialect means "mother of the sea." After bioprotectors moved her to a nearby manatee habitat, she continued to snuggle up to the boat instead of other manatees. This led the researchers to deduce that she was an orphan looking for her mother.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature has listed manatees as "vulnerable species," suggesting they are at high risk of extinction in the wild. The researchers hope that after a period of artificial feeding, Marim will learn to live independently and return to the ocean.
The conservation group crowdfunded online to pay for Marim's medical expenses, and the fundraising was stopped two days later, as a total of 1.7 million baht (about 380,000 yuan) was received in two days. The funds raised are considered sufficient to cover a year's medical expenses.
I hope it can be safe and happy
