After the informant provided clues, the police learned about the situation from witnesses at the scene and locked Liang Mou, a resident on the fifth floor of a rental house near the site of the incident. After entering the rental house for investigation, the police confirmed Liang's suspected crime and summoned him to the police station for investigation.

According to Liang's account, when resting that night, some residents in the same building kept banging on the wall, causing Liang to be irritable and unable to sleep. Therefore, Liang first poured two basins of water from the room and poured it down the window, and then shredded the newspaper in the room and threw it downstairs. The knocking sound did not stop, and Liang Mou, who was still not relieved, remembered that there were some dismantled bed boards piled up in the corridor. Subsequently, Liang pulled the bed board into the room and threw it from the window on the fifth floor to the downstairs.

Police officer Chen Shuo told Nandu reporters that Liang smashed five or six wooden planks from a high altitude, each about 1.8 meters wide and 0.2 meters long. If there are pedestrians passing downstairs, it may endanger the lives of others.

At present, Liang Mou has been criminally detained by the public security organs according to law for suspected crimes of throwing objects from a high altitude, and the case is being further investigated.
