According to the survey, 56.0% of the respondents believe that high-quality variety shows should be light and funny to meet entertainment needs, and 45.0% of the respondents believe that they should be close to the audience and lead the cultural trend. Others include: reflecting social issues, assuming social responsibility (42.1%), content out of the circle, triggering social discussions (37.9%), integration of technology and content, creating a visual feast (26.2%), having an international perspective, and promoting cultural output (19.1%). Interviewee Liu Fang feels that the current variety shows have done a good job in entertaining the public, and there have been many excellent and interesting works, but the discussion of social reality problems is not enough, there is room for further exploration, "Now many programs have begun to pay attention to some social issues, such as domestic violence, school bullying, etc., as well as some vulnerable social groups, such as left-behind children, autistic children, etc." This is a good start, and I hope to see more discussions on social issues in the future, not only to meet the needs of entertainment, but also to really help certain groups and attract more attention from society."
