Chongyuan Temple was originally named Chongxuan Temple, which was founded in the second year of Emperor Tianjian of Liangwu (503 AD), and the Qing Dynasty changed "Xuan" to "Yuan" to avoid the kangxi emperor Xuanye's secrets, and the name of Chongyuan Temple has always been used. Hou chongyuan Temple was completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and rebuilt in 2003.

The Temple is connected to the main temple by puji bridge. In the Zen Temple, there is the largest Daxiong Treasure Hall in China, with a construction area of 2100 square meters, and the tallest Daxiong Treasure Hall in China, with a height of 38 meters. Strolling through the temple, in addition to feeling the tall splendor of the building, the inscription on the plaque hanging in the temple is very warm, such as "Everything is rounded", "Hengshun sentient beings" and so on, which are wishes and imply the direction of mortal efforts.
There is a meditation center of Suzhou Chongyuan Temple in the temple, and several young monks are also encountered in the temple. As a tourist, there are still not many scenes of monks gathering together and chanting in temples. The ultimate goal of the monk's meditation is to enter the "six degrees of the gate", reach the other side of Nirvana, and cultivate the fruit of Buddhahood. Life itself is a meditation.
Chongyuan Temple is on the yangcheng Lake peninsula, and there is also a Lotus Lake Park next to Chongyuan Temple. We walk in the park, small bridges flowing water, flowers and trees, is close to nature, integration. Blue sky and white clouds, spring breeze, classmates accompanied, wouldn't it be fun!
There is a giant birdcage in the park with a model of a parrot bird. More than half a hundred years old, we have all spent time in the "cage" of life. Today, should we break through the "cage" and become a happy and free bird?
