In the third quarter, the Nets exploded another 10-0 wave, giving the team an 11-point lead at 68-57. Sabonis Jr. scored three points, Duarte scored quickly, Craig hit another three pointer, and the Pacers returned a wave of 10-0! Mills and Durant scored 9 points, and Ade made four consecutive jump shots to surpass 20,000 career points (only 10 points before the game)! He became the 48th in NBA history and the 7th active 20,000-point player, and the Nets led 85-74 in the third quarter.
The Nets scored four minutes in the fourth quarter, and the Pacers started 6-0. McConnell then hit back-to-back quick-breaks as the Pacers trailed to 90-square-draw in the final 5 minutes. Harden threw a throw and made a foul, Durant assisted Harris on a layup, Ader made a layup, and the Nets led 98-90. McConnell quickly attacked, and Ade responded with a mid-range shot. Harden broke the hat in a row, and then he made two free throws, Harris scored a near-rim jumper, and the Nets led 103-92 in the last minute to finally beat the opponent.
