Wencheng, Hainan Daily, June 5 (Reporter Li Jiafei Special Correspondent Huang Liangce) On the morning of June 5, the Jingji Zhinong Pig Industry Chain Project held a groundbreaking ceremony in Changsa Town, Wenchang City. It is reported that this is the first inter-provincial pig project signed by Jingji Zhinong, planning to invest 1 billion yuan, and after it is completed and put into operation, it can achieve an annual output of 300,000 commercial pigs.
The project is divided into two phases of pig breeding and industrial supporting development, planning and construction of five functional areas: breeding core area, feed production area, slaughtering and processing area, food and cold chain area, and ecological circulation area. Among them, the first phase covers a total area of about 1412 acres, with a construction area of about 290,000 square meters, and the main construction contents include: 1,500 GP ancestral breeding pig production line, 6,000 PS parent breeding pig production line, 1 150 boar station, and 11 groups of 12,000 nursery and fattening pig houses, which are expected to be introduced and put into production in September 2020, and commercial pigs will be released in September 2021.
It is reported that Wenchang city raised 386,000 pigs in 2019, and 235,000 heads were released. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can add 300,000 pigs per year to the local production capacity and significantly expand the scale of breeding. While ensuring the scale, the project will also build an automated and environmentally friendly full-cycle beautiful ecological agriculture demonstration base in accordance with the standards of "livestock and poultry breeding, equipment automation, production standardization, epidemic prevention institutionalization, manure treatment harmlessness, and management informatization", helping the transformation and upgrading of Wenchang pig industry and improving the development level of local animal husbandry.
It is worth mentioning that the Jingji Zhinong pig project is supporting slaughtering and processing, which is in line with the development needs of the pig industry's "pig transportation" to "meat transportation". While ensuring the local supply of the project, Jingji Zhinong will give full play to the advantages of experience in supplying Hong Kong and Shenzhen to sell pork products to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area market, drive the sales of local fruits and vegetables and livestock and poultry products, and promote win-win results for all parties.
