The Pisces Changhong 2019 Guangdong Provincial Women's Basketball League will officially kick off on March 8 at the Xiangtou Gymnasium in Dalang Town, Dongguan. Fifteen teams from different cities in Guangdong Province will gather to witness the opening ceremony.
The 2018 league rankings are arranged in a snake-like manner (the teams that do not participate in the 2018 league are placed in the order of registration), and the 15 participating teams are divided into A, B, C, and D groups for group single round robin. Among them, Group A is: Dongguan, Huizhou, Yangjiang; Group B is: Foshan, Shenzhen, Jiangmen, Yunfu; Group C has Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Heyuan, Maoming; Group D has Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai.
Zhaoqing Water Affairs Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhaoshui Group) is a state-owned medium-sized water enterprise wholly owned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Zhaoqing City. The company attaches great importance to the construction of corporate culture, and has set up men's and women's basketball teams, light music troupes and dance teams. The basketball team has a history of nearly 20 years and has won numerous championships in Zhaoqing. In particular, the women's basketball team has maintained the first-class level of Zhaoqing City for many years. With the strong support of the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Municipal Sports Bureau and the Municipal Basketball Association, it officially became the Zhaoqing Women's Basketball Team in 2014. In 2016, the Zhaoshui Group women's basketball team represented the Zhaoqing Women's Basketball Team for the first time in the Guangdong Women's Basketball League, achieving great results.

The women's basketball team of Zhuhai College of Jilin University was founded in 2006, the team has grown with the support of the college and the joint efforts of all coaches and athletes, and its achievements have gradually risen, and it has won the second place in the 2006 Zhuhai Games, the fifth place in the women's A group B of the Guangdong University Basketball League in 2013, the second place in the women's group B of the Guangdong University Basketball League in 2014, and the first place in the women's group B of the Guangdong University Basketball League in 2017.
