About the "Jinling Thirteen Chao".

This is a legendary tragic story, and the special historical background attached to it has a natural attraction to filmmakers, but the deductive component of the story is too large, and if it cannot be convincing, it will be the biggest trouble. In the hands of screenwriter Liu Heng, skilled screenwriting skills strive to erase the folds on the wall, director Zhang Yimou also rarely tries to restrain his past over-decoration habits, the joining of the powerful actor Christine Bell, but also let the performance go up to an obvious level, all this makes the whole film look mature, exquisite, quite impactful, but in the end, the core of the story, the prostitutes sacrificed themselves to save the female students, its credibility is still debatable - it still seems to be given by the author, imposed - This is the biggest regret of this film that cannot be described as unsuccessful.
Yan Geling also wrote a very wonderful story, but it is a pity that the various problems of the script have not become a shocking god work. Frankly speaking, "Jinling Thirteen Chao" is indeed a well-made movie, stronger than "Nanjing, Nanjing" but less than "Black Book".
