
The NBA regular season continued on Oct. 30, and in the end, the Kings defeated the Pelicans 113-109.
Barnes' three-pointers began in the first quarter to help the Kings start 10-5, but Varan and Jones scored from baskets to close in. Then the two sides scored each other, with Lunn and Fox combining to make it 6-0 to help the Kings pull away a little, and after another round of mutual scoring, the Kings led by 33-26 in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Pelicans came up and played a 10-2 rebound! Mitchell and Halliburton quickly hit three consecutive three-pointers to lead the team to a wave of 8-2 to regain the lead! Walker made a layup and Varan scored three points each, and the Pelicans equalised, but the Kings ended the half with an 11-0 11-point lead at 59-48.
Easy side to fight again, Fox on the layup after the Pelicans played another wave of 7-0 to narrow the point difference. The two sides then scored each other in a burst, and Ingram suddenly sent a series of jump shots to lead the team to a wave of 13-2 rebound scores! Hield quickly scored six consecutive points to lead the team back to 8-0 to regain the lead! The Kings led by five points at 77-72 in the third quarter.
The last quarter starts, and the two sides will not let go of one goal and one goal! Mitchell and Halliburton combined to open up a 7-2 run, Varan and Jones scored four points to stop the bleeding, and after a series of points, Fox and Halliburton scored consecutive jumpers to lead by 10 points! The Pelicans made another mistake and Fox hit two more free throws to extend the lead! But then the Kings made a series of mistakes, and the Pelicans hit 3 three-pointers in a row to chase down only 3 points! Holmes hit 2 free throws, the Pelicans had 20 seconds left, and the Pelicans conceded three consecutive points! Barnes hit 2 more goals to seal the win!
On the Kings side, Barnes had 18 points and 12 boards, Fox 23 points and 7 boards, Holmes 21 points, Hield 20 points and 6 boards, and Halliburton had 17 points and 8 assists
For the Pelicans, Varan had 24 points and 13 boards, Ingram 22 points, 6 boards and 6 assists, Jones 12 points and Graham 16 points
