U.S. Introduces New Entry Rules Embassies in the U.S.: Carefully Consider Traveling to the U.S

author:China News Network

According to the website of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently issued detailed rules on vaccination requirements for entering the United States by flight from foreign countries. Starting November 8, 2021 ET, passengers going to the U.S. are required to board the aircraft with their vaccination voucher and a negative COVID-19 test certificate within 3 days prior to boarding after full vaccination (i.e., 14 days of full dose vaccination). U.S. travelers who have not been fully vaccinated (including U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or travelers traveling to the U.S. on an immigrant visa) and a small number of foreign travelers who meet the vaccination exemption conditions can board the aircraft with a negative COVID-19 test certificate within 1 day before boarding. Vaccines currently recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or urgent authorization by the World Health Organization include Sinopharm, China Kexing, Pfizer, Modena, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and Covidshield of India, and the paper or electronic version of the full vaccination voucher will be checked by the airline.

Specific requirements and frequently asked questions about these regulations can be found on the CDC website.

At present, the epidemic situation in the United States is still developing, with an average of more than 60,000 confirmed cases per day and an average of more than 1,000 deaths per day, and there is still a great risk of infection when traveling to the United States. The Embassy in the United States once again reminds everyone to carefully consider the risk of infection in the United States during the epidemic period, avoid travel to the United States as much as possible during this special period, and effectively achieve "non-essential, non-urgent, non-travel". If there is a real need for urgent travel, please understand the latest immigration restrictions to the United States in advance, pay close attention to local public security and epidemic situation, do a good job of personal protection throughout the process, and plan in advance the "double testing" arrangement of returning to China.
