Speaking of doghead fish, the IQ of light is higher than that of other fish!
Personally, I think that the doghead fish is still very ornamental, can chase hands, can interact, and feels that the IQ is much higher than that of ordinary fish. So here's what I'll share with you:
1
Long-kissed white pearl dog head
Pao abei "Yunnan"
A while ago, a freshwater pufferfish from Yunnan, China, was imported, and named long-snouted white pearl dog head. It looks similar, but it is impossible to say what kind, but when asked, it turns out to be Pao abei from Yunnan. This freshwater pufferfish, which used to be imported from Thailand, is mostly known in the aqua commercial market as "Hairy Dog Head TYPE III" or "Green Forest Dog Head", mainly distributed in the Maeklong River, Chao Phraya River (Chao Phraya River) and Mekong River basins. The individuals from Yunnan this time should be the type from the upper mekong river, and the body color and body pattern are obviously different from the individuals produced downstream in general: the dots on the former are smaller and densely distributed, and the color of the dots will become more light white when the emotions are excited; the latter has a yellowish green background, the dots on the body are larger, and the color is more orange. Juveniles of this species have a large red eye spot on the back half of their body, which is one of the distinguishing features from other similar species, but as the fish age, the eye spot will gradually shrink to almost unrecognizable. This kind of personality is not too mild, and it is best to raise it alone. The body length is about 10 cm.

The dots on the body after the transformation became paler
Juveniles less than 5 cm have a rather pronounced red bullseye on the posterior segment of the body, which gradually fades as they grow

Crown lionhead seabream
Orthochromis stormsi
This small cichlid distributed in the Republic of the Congo is not common, but because its nickname stormsi is exactly the same as the Micralestes stormsi, it was introduced by mistake. Like other gobies, this West African cichlid spends most of its time at the bottom of aquariums, allowing it to withstand strong currents in its native land without being washed away. It has obvious territoriality, so it needs a large space to raise, it is recommended to polyculture in the proportion of one male and multiple females, which can be raised with small and medium-sized lightfish swimming in the upper middle and upper aquifers. There is little difference in appearance between males and females, usually the females are smaller and slightly yellowish in color, slightly duller than males. Oral hatching is a type of breeding in which females incubate and raise their calves. Body length up to 12 cm.

Bellfish
Kneria stappersii
It is a member of the family Kneriidae and the genus Kneria. The family is a biologically peculiar group of fish, known as "shellear", meaning shell-shaped ears, so Chinese trade named bayfish, it is possible that only the Shikne fish is artificially bred and circulated in the ornamental fish market in Germany. This fish is about 5-6 cm long and has many characteristics, such as its males have a sticky organ like shell-like ears on the side of the head, which is believed to be attached to the female during mating; in addition, they can also move their heads left, right and upward to search for food, and they can also breathe air directly from the surface of the water like a gillfish, which is very special! Native to the Lubumbashi River in the upper Congo River in Africa, the species was imported from artificial breeding in Germany. They are easy to feed, the diet is partial to algae, can easily accept artificial feed, and the water temperature should not be too high. About 18-24 ° C is enough.

Colombian leopard-print jumping perch
Saccodon dariensis
Imported from Colombia, this large jumping perch type of fat carp was also imported to Taiwan more than a decade ago, belongs to the lower mouth semi-fat carp (Parodontidae), although the size of the large benthic pencil is somewhat similar, but it is far from the classification, and the personality is also very gentle. They live in groups on the bottom of streams covered with fine sand and rocks, feeding on algae, thin layers of organisms or aquatic insects on the stones, and the stripes on their bodies help them blend into the bottom sand environment. If you have the opportunity to raise them, it is best to use a slightly larger aquarium arranged with fine sand and stones, supplemented by a slightly faster flow of water. It can be fed with a special substation feed for rats or heterotypic fish, with a maximum body length of about 15 cm.
Shell-like teeth can help this large jumping bass scrape the algae on the stones

Guyana flying fox jumper
Parodon guyanensis
If it weren't for the adipotens, the Guyana parayacarpus would at first glance look like the Southeast Asian-grown epalzeorhynchus kalopterus, but in fact they are part of the Parodontidae family, just like the Colombian leopard-printed jumper. The species also have a similar habit to flying foxes , preferring to live at the bottom of rivers with water streams , feeding on algae , aquatic insects , or organic detritus on rocks or fallen trees. This species is distributed in the highlands of Guyana and other river basins, imported from Suriname, with a black line on the back and the center of the body, the end of each fin is black, and three dark spots of different shades appear on the side of the body with changes in mood or environment, which is very special. Gentle in personality, it can be communityed with other small fish and fed artificial feed. Body length up to 12 cm.
The juvenile black line of the Guyana flying fox bass is more pronounced, more like the southeastern flying fox

Clown Spot Rabbit Pencil
Hypomasticus megalepis
Following the Strawberry Blood-Spotted Big Pencil (Leporinus granti), another beautiful large pencil fish from Suriname. Although it does not have a bright red body color, the body side is dotted with cute and playful round and oval dots, which is the most attractive thing about them; in addition, this species is a group of large pencil fish with a lower mouth, so it is not classified in the common genus Leporinus, but in the genus Hypomasticus. The maximum size may be only 10 cm, which is a small species of large pencil fish, but polyculture with small fish is still not recommended.

Penguin David mouse
Corydoras sp. CW107
In recent years, the river basin on the border between Colombia and Brazil has been developed, and some new fish species that have rarely been imported in the past have begun to emerge, such as the Penguin David Mouse (number CW107) distributed in the tributary of the Rio Vaupés River in Colombia. Because the black band that extends from the back to the lower lobe of the caudal fin is particularly thick and black, and the width can even be extended to half of the body, the black and white contrast resembles a penguin lamp, hence the name. It also has a barramundi species, known as the barley broadband David mouse (CW106), which was also imported with CW107, but in smaller numbers.

Blood ruby snapper
Hemichromis exsul
According to the exporter's website, the ruby-type Cichlid was scientifically described as pelmatochromis exsul as early as 1933 before changing its genus name to Hemichromis exsul. Its pattern origin was in Lake Lale Turkana in Kenya, so it was also called Turkana Ruby, which researchers later believed to be H. Turkana Ruby. exsul is just a synonym for Hemichromis letourneauxi. However, when Lothar Seegers published his photographs of the hema ruby seabream he had collected in Lake Turkana in 1998, he found that the fish collected looked completely different from the Leigh's lily, but unfortunately, Kenya is not an exporter of freshwater ornamental fish from Africa, so everything is a mystery; it was not until this year that the famous German exporter exported the German artificially bred individual known as the blood ruby seabream for the first time.
The biggest difference between them and other members of the ruby family is that they lack a bright eye spot that is often found in other rubies on the side of the body, and their fins are black and their fins are small, up to 10 cm in size. Although the body color of this species is extremely red and gorgeous when angry, and it is not picky about water quality and bait, it is also rough and territorial, and will attack and drive away other similar or any small fish, it is recommended to raise them in larger aquariums, and mix medium-sized Galasins that are slightly larger and prefer to cruise in the upper waters, such as a line of longgini or Congo lamps. Given that their close relative, rubies, have become serious exotic species in the wild, it is hoped that this fish will be well reared in aquariums and not become the next ruby.

Hansen Sweetheart Lamp
Hyphessobrycon sp. ?
In recent days, traders have imported a batch of new lamp fish from Brazil, although the individual has not yet developed color, but at first glance some of the eyes are familiar, it should be a Han (Han) Sen sweetheart lamp that has not been seen for a while. This kind of lamp fish is almost like two fish before and after full color, and it is rarely imported, so it is difficult for the average player to immediately identify its identity. When entering the new environment, it often shows a pale body color, which makes it difficult to be interested in them, but once it adapts to the environment, the strong individual will begin to appear orange, and the white at the end of each fin will become more obvious, and the male fish that occupies the dominant position will have a more intense yellow body color, and even the fins will turn into a flame-like orange-red color, and a black band will appear in the back half of the body shaft, which is very eye-catching while driving away the opponent!
Speaking of which, some people should be curious about how the word "Hansen" or "Hansen" in the name of the Chinese fish came from? The fish was first imported more than a decade ago in the name of Hasemania cf. The scientific name hanseni was entered, so it was transliterated as "Hanseni" by its nickname hanseni. There are currently only 9 species in the genus Hasemania, and even fewer in the ornamental fish market, presumably only the common mini lights (yellow fluorescent lights; H. nana) and the H. Reggae lamp (H. Reggae lamp) that only slightly improved visibility a while ago. nambiquara), but there is a serious problem that all the small Galasim members of the genus lack adiposefin characteristics, but in what we call the Hansen sweetheart lamp, the fat fins are clearly visible, so it can be inferred that the fish is not a fish of the genus Hasemania, and the original understanding of the species is a misidentification.
So what does the real Hasemania hanseni look like? There are no papers or photographs of Fowler describing the fish in 1949 on the Internet, only that they are distributed in the Brazilian state of Goias, and their location is unknown. However, hasemania hanseni, shown in a French aquarium website Aquaportail and films shot by foreign players, is a hasemania sp. Red fin) is almost identical, so is this really Hasmania Hanseni? Let's wait and see...

Aquaphiles have something to say:
The dog head is a bit like the red pearl dog head I used to have, Thai or African, forgot
Spotted rabbits have long been sold, 200 pieces of ah.
Looking forward to the appearance of breeding records of The Shkenaeus.
