However, today we want to talk about a place that seems to be unnamed, but in fact has a lot of potential, and this place is Weiqu.
Xi'an City Wall
Weiqu is the seat of the district government of Chang'an District, Xi'an, until now people go to Chang'an District, many people still say that they are going to Weiqu. Now Weiqu looks like just a name, and there is nothing special about it. But in the Tang Dynasty, it was a veritable aristocratic area and a rich area, far from being incomparable to today's Xi'an Qujiang.

In the Tang Dynasty, there were four major families (four surnames in Guanzhong), jingzhao weishi, Hedong Xueshi, Hedong Peishi, and Hedong Liushi. Among these great nobles, the Jingzhao Wei family, since the Han Dynasty began to live in Duling, Wei Xian, Wei Xuancheng, Wei Xiang for three consecutive generations to the three dukes, the Eastern Han, Wei Jin, the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Jingzhao Wei clan Gongqing, Zaifu, Shangshu, Assassin History, senior generals. In the Tang Dynasty, it was extremely prominent, and it was known as "going to the heavens and feet five". The original annotation of Du Fu's poem "Seven Praises to Wei" once quoted the slang phrase "Wei Du in the south of the city, go to the heavens and feet five", which is an honor and flaunt for the Wei and Du families. The Wei family has a prominent position, lush foliage, and a residential area surrounded by zhuangshu and curved (curved) water, so people call this place Weiqu (Zhu Weishi lives here, named Weiqu). In the Tang Dynasty, there were 17 prime ministers in the Wei family alone (there are many different theories, in short), and the specific list is as follows:
