The two viewing platforms are located 1 km east-southeast of Qufu City. Song Kong's biography of Dongjia Miscellaneous Records says, "Two miles southeast of the temple, outside the high gate of Lucheng, there are two views, forty steps each in the week, one foot high, and one hundred steps between east and west."
The Two Observatories are an outbuilding of the Ancient City of Luguo. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the princes had the custom of building high platforms, which were high and large, and some were used for sacrifices, and some were only for viewing. Outside the southeast gate of the original Lu Ancient City, just south of Lugong Palace Castle, there are two viewing platforms. "Guan" is a building on both sides of the city gate, one on the left and one on the left and right called "two views". There are also stories in the history of the Two Observatories, and the "History of confucius's family" records that Confucius became the grand sikou of the Lu kingdom at the age of fifty-six and took the deeds of xiangshi, which was perhaps the biggest official position he did in his life. Confucius then killed shao zhengdi, who was in turmoil, on the two viewing platforms.
Why did Confucius kill Shao Zhengdi?
ShōshōJō,(?) –496 BC), the Grand Master of the State of Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period, shao is a surname, 卯 is a name. It was Lu Guo's doctor, who, like Confucius, opened a school to teach students, and this person had a very good set of lectures, and his speech was very attractive, many people, including some of Confucius's students at that time, were tempted by him, and only Yan Hui insisted on listening to Confucius's lessons alone. In the fourteenth year of Lu Dinggong, Kong Qiu served as the Grand Sikou of the State of Lu, and after taking office, he killed Shao Zhengdi under the Dongguan of the Two Views and was violently killed for three days. None of Kong Qiu's disciples understood why they wanted to kill him, and Zigong couldn't help but raise his own questions to Kong Qiu, and Kong Qiu replied: Shao Zhengyi has five bad qualities: Shao Zhengyi has five bad qualities of "being dangerous in his heart (or acting against the odds"), acting in a strong way, arguing falsely, remembering ugliness and being broad-minded, and following the wrongs, and as long as a person's character has one of these "five evils," he cannot but impose the "Curse of a Gentleman", and Shao Zhengyi is a "villain" who is also a "five evils", who has the ability to confuse the masses and rebel, and he and the Huashi and others who have been killed in history are "otherworldly one-heart" and must not be killed.
