In the spring and autumn of Qinba and Suiting areas in northeast Sichuan, if the bee colony is not properly managed, bee paralysis occurs, which is divided into two kinds: chronic and acute. Bee paralysis is also called paralysis and black bee disease. It is an infectious disease caused by a virus that harms adult wasps, of which chronic paralysis is the most harmful. Acute paralysis has a low incidence of bee colonies caused by oral infestation, and infestation is mainly caused by the vector action of large wasp mites. Therefore, the prevention and control of mites is the mainstay, and the heat preservation is done in the spring, and the disease often heals itself. Bees with chronic paralysis usually have 2 symptoms: one is a large belly type, that is, the head and abdomen of the sick bee are dull, the abdomen is swollen, the honey sac is full of liquid, the body and wings are trembling, they cannot fly, they crawl slowly on the ground or concentrate on the nest spleen frame beam, they are unresponsive, the hind intestines are full of yellow-brown stools, accompanied by diarrhea, the hind feet are mopping the ground, the wings are extended, and the paralysis is paralyzed; the other is the black tail type, that is, the sick bee is thin, the head and abdomen are shiny and shiny, and the body hair is almost shed due to the healthy bees often chasing and biting it, and the body hairs are almost shed, and the wings are often mutilated , the body trembled, and soon died of exhaustion. There are sometimes 2 symptoms in a swarm of bees, but one is the main one, usually in the spring with a large belly type and in the autumn with a black bee type.
If you find that there are people with large abdomen or small bodies with dull body color and trembling in front of or inside the box, paralysis can be diagnosed. If a bee is found to have a immovable, slow crawling and turning, feces yellow pollen-like, this should be a typical bee paralysis.
Paralysis should be based on the thorough and scientific treatment of mites, with prevention as the mainstay and prevention and treatment at the same time, and the following measures can be taken. (1) Supplement protein feed to improve the disease resistance of the bee colony, which can be fed with milk powder, soybean flour, bee pollen, etc. with multivitamins mixed with honey; (2) replace the queen bee with a disease-free colony to replace the sick queen bee; (3) Every autumn and early spring, it is necessary to burn the beehive and other bee bee utensils with a blowtorch flame and wash and dry with washing detergent water before fumigation with formaldehyde or sulfur. For the replacement nest spleen, it must be washed with sulfur fumigation with soapy water first, and spray the spleen with 1% of the new Jieer extinguishing solution; (4) in the management of spring and autumn seasons, it should not be paralyzed, and the Chinese herbal juices such as banlan root, dandelion, andrographis, honeysuckle, huanglian, guanzhong, yuanhu, and half-branched lotus should be fed into sugar water for prevention; (5) take 1 kg of garlic, 2 L of rice vinegar, mash the garlic and add rice vinegar to the rice vinegar, soak for 24 h, add rice vinegar garlic liquid to 100 g per liter of syrup, feed it every night, continuously 5 to 6 times; (6) if the disease has been onset, it should be treated with "bee paralysis" and "antiviral No. 1" in time; (7) give the bee colony overall positive energy before the season of frequent diseases, enhance physical fitness, and prolong life, such as yam 50 g (water-soaked), American ginseng 3 g, 35 g, 35 g, barley 20 g (water immersion), rhubarb 10 g, jujube 20 g, hawthorn, tangerine peel, goji berries 15 g each, ginger 3 pieces of decoction can be fed into the syrup to feed 50 swarms of bees.
