The rose snail is a carnivorous snail that hunts other snails and mollusks. But nature does not do a simple addition and subtraction method as human beings expect. Soon, the rose snail became uncontrollable as a new invasive species. In 1955, rose snails were introduced to Hawaii to control the African large snail, resulting in a sharp decline in the population of some arboreal snails in the area, and a large number of species went extinct, becoming one of the most typical negative examples of the introduction of natural enemies to control pests, but after the introduction of beneficial organisms. Just this year, the rose snail was also "honorably" included in the "List of Quarantine Pests of Imported Plants of the People's Republic of China".
