Zhang Linzheng, an adviser to the United Nations League and an honorary professor of the Department of Political Science of National Taiwan University, who attended the meeting, said that she was very sad to have two like-minded comrades, but everyone must survive and witness history, because cross-strait reunification is inevitable, and the time will get closer and closer, and we can see it.
Zhang Linzheng said that when the time comes for reunification, we can get together again and tell Mao Zhulun and Wang Xiaobo that we have witnessed reunification, so I hope that everyone will not lose their will, and will inherit their aspirations and move forward firmly on the road of reunification.
Nearly 200 Taiwan pro-unification figures came to participate in the memorial service, including Wu Chengdian, chairman of the New Party, Wu Rongyuan, chairman of the Workers' Party, Qi Jialin, former chairman of the United League, Zhang Linzheng, professor of National Taiwan University and adviser to the United League, and Zhang Anle, president of the China Unification Promotion Party.
Zhang Linzheng said in his speech at the meeting that she and Mao Zhulun met when they were in the "Straits Review" magazine, the two often exchanged views, Mao is a very cheerful person, has a straight talk, very frank, and later the two went to the mainland for a meeting, everyone has the same common ground, hoping that cross-strait relations will improve and peaceful reunification will be realized as soon as possible, so she is very disappointed about Mao's departure.
As for Wang Xiaobo, Zhang Linzheng said that Wang and Mao Zhulun have the same personalities and are both people who speak out directly, and the most admirable thing in Wang's life is his love for the country and the pursuit of reunification, he is very open-minded, he discusses things as a matter of fact, and he has no complaints or wants revenge on the Kuomintang as a whole.
Zhang Linzheng said with feelings that this year is the year of Gengzi, various changes are unexpected, and now she is very sad to go to two like-minded contracts, and everyone must survive and witness history.
