Sweet orange grapefruit is a low-acid citrus variety that is crossed from 'Ueda Wenzhou Mandarin' and 'Ba Shuo Mandarin' as the father, and was introduced to Quzhou City in 2001 for trial planting.

Sweet orange grapefruit grows strongly, with obvious advantages at the top of the branches and a rounded crown. The fruit is flat and round, the peel is orange-yellow, the fruit surface is slightly rough, the flesh is orange-yellow, soft and juicy, sweet and refreshing, no sour taste, aromatic, seedless or less nucleated, and the slag is slightly poor. The soluble solids content can reach more than 12.5%, and the acid content is less than 0.9%. The single fruit weighs about 240 grams and ripens in late November.

Sweet orange grapefruit has good yield, and the rootstock tree is put into production in the third year after planting, with an output of about 900 kilograms per mu, about 1500 kg per mu in the fourth year, and about 2000 kg in the fifth year. If the high connection is on the Wenzhou mandarin orange and grapefruit trees, it is recommended that the third year be put into production, about 1500 kg, and the fourth year mu output of about 2200 kg. Adult fruiting trees yield about 3500 kg per acre.

1. Vertical site selection
Sweet orange grapefruit is more resistant to cold, the conditions of the opposite land are not high, and all places that can cultivate Wenzhou mandarin oranges and limes can be planted.
2. Planting method
Before planting, use decomposed farm manure, soil miscellaneous fertilizer, fungal residue, bran, compost and other soil to change the soil, 5 to 6 tons per mu. The row spacing of the cultivated plants is generally 4 meters × 4 meters; it can also be planned for dense planting, first planted according to 2 meters × 4 meters, and then recounted by pruning and retracting through large branches after sealing.
3. Fertilizer water management
Sweet orange grapefruit has a large amount of flowers, high fruit set rate, large fruit, high yield, and the fertilization of mu should be about 20% higher than that of Wenzhou mandarin. The application of thin fertilizer in young trees promotes the extraction of new shoots and the rapid formation of the canopy. Adult fruiting trees are fertilized 3 to 4 times a year, compost, cake fertilizer, commercial organic fertilizer, etc. Pay attention to drainage during the rainy season, and pay attention to irrigation during high temperatures and droughts.
4. Plastic trimming
Sweet orange grapefruit trees are strong and lightly pruned, mainly to remove crossed branches, long branches, shaded branches in the inner chamber, diseased and insect branches, etc.
5. Pest control
Sweet orange grapefruit diseases and insect pests mainly include black spot disease, red spider, tick insect, leafminer moth and so on.
