On October 28, Beijing time, the NBA officially announced the rookie list for the first week, the Pacers' No. 13 show Chris Duarte was at the top of the list, The No. 4 show Scotty Barnes was second, and the Tanhua Show Evan Mobley was followed by third, the following is the detailed list:
1. Chris Duarte Indiana Pacers
Season average: 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game
In part, Duarte's vast experience as a 24-year-old rookie has led Pacers coach Carlisle to put him in the starting lineup in the opener. Since then, the 6'6-inch guard has averaged 19.8 points on 17 shots in 38.3 minutes of playing time, contributing +6.3 plus-minus in the first week of his NBA career.
2. Scotty Barnes Toronto Raptors
Season average: 16.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game
The 2020 No. 4 show surprised people at the time, with the Chicago Bulls choosing Patrick Williams, who had never started in a college game. The Raptors' choice was also surprising, as Barnes was selected slightly higher than most people expected with the fourth pick. But just three games later, former rookie Jason Kidd predicted barnes would become "a star in the league."
3. Evan Mobley, Knight of Cleveland
Season average: 14.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game

4. Jaylen Green Houston Rockets
Season average: 16.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game
Before the season began, Green was widely regarded as the ultimate winner of the 2022 Rookie of the Year. In addition to the odds given by Las Vegas, an anonymous survey by the NBA general manager and a reporter survey by The Athletic gave the same result. But in terms of Green's performance in his first week, there's no indication that he can squeeze into the top three of the list, whether it's individual skill or team awareness.
5. Franz Wagner Orlando Magic
Season average: 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game
Frankly, we expect a Magic rookie to make it to the top five of the first week's list, except that person is Jaylen Sagas. Judging by Ságers's summer performances, he is extremely stable and has received the attention of the team on both offensive and defensive ends. But Wagner, 20, played like a veteran, averaging 33 minutes in four games, including three away games. He has shown excellent movement on the defensive end and can adapt well to the no-ball system.
