In the opening Graham and Ingram hit three consecutive three-pointers, the latter completed another 2+1, Herbert Jones shot long, and the Pelicans started 12-4. Trae Young scored seven straight points, Hult quickly attacked the layup, Trae Young counter-attacked to find Capela dunk, and the Hawks chased 15-18! However, the Hawks only relied on Trae Young to score two points in the next six minutes, and the Pelicans made a 15-2 surge to lead 33-19 in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Gallinari played 2+1, Wright connected Collins twice, Reddish and Gallinari hit three-pointers, and the Hawks chased 32-37! After that, Collins and Bogdan Bogdanovic joined forces to threaten, and the Eagles once chased 53-54! Valanciunas hit two free throws in the final half minute and Graham hit a whistle-pressing three-pointer to give the Pelicans a 59-53 lead in the first half.

In the third quarter, Trae Young came up to hit a three-pointer, then threw a shot to assist Collins in the air dunk, and the Hawks rebounded 64-63! Ingram exploded on three consecutive jumpers to score eight points, but Hunter, Borgdan and Trae Young all responded. Wright also hit a whistle-pressing three-pointer to give the Hawks an 84-77 lead in the third quarter.

Hayes took consecutive penalties in the fourth quarter, Graham hit three three-pointers, and the Pelicans hit a 15-3 start at 92-87 to surpass five points in the final six minutes. Trae Young threw a throw, Collins took the air, Andrør Bogdan hit a three-pointer, and the two teams fought to a 94-point draw in the last four minutes. Trae Young made two consecutive hits, Varan took a dunk in the air and Herbert Jones equalised. Trae Young conceded a three-pointer, but Collins made up for the last 55 seconds to give the Hawks a 100-98 lead. Jones made two fouls and made one free throw, and the Pelicans trailed by one point. Trae Young missed a throw, but Collins picked up the crucial front board in the last 28 seconds. Trae Young missed a three-pointer, Graham's quick attack was covered by Capela, and Ingram got to the front board in the last 8.5 seconds. Ingram missed a jumper and Trae Murphy got the front board but made a mistake out of bounds. Trae Young walked onto the free throw line in the last 0.6 seconds, and the Eagles crossed the line in two free throws.

Trae Young had 31 points, five rebounds and seven assists, Collins had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, Hunter had 13 points, Capela had 5 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, Gallinari had 9 points and seven rebounds, and Bogdan had 12 points.

Ingram had 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks, Graham had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists, and Valanciunas had 16 points and 15 rebounds.
