The "Reading Plan" activity for the study and education of party history in Dongcheng District was fully launched

Pass on the century-old torch and unite the power of the times. On the occasion of the 26th World Book Day and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on the morning of April 23, the "Reading Plan" activity for the study and education of party history in Dongcheng District was officially launched at the Zuo'anmen Jiaolou Library, attended by Zhao Haiying, member of the Standing Committee of the Dongcheng District CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department. It is reported that the "Reading Plan" activity will run through the whole year, through the selection of classic original works, revolutionary poems, excellent prose, red family letters and other "ten categories, hundred classics" as the representative of the recitation articles, organize party members and cadres, Dongcheng social workers, community residents, youth groups and other ten "reading circles" and 100 "leading readers" to lead the reading, and guide the party members and masses of the whole region to participate in a wide range of activities.

This activity is sponsored by the Office of the Leading Group for the Study and Education of Party History of the Dongcheng District CPC Committee, with the theme of "Books Fragrant to the Far," and the purpose is to implement the study and education of Party history, make full use of the regional "Scholars" resources, and achieve the study of history, the enhancement of credibility, the study of history, and the practice of history. As a vivid practice of the concept of "Chongwen scrambling to be the first", the "readers" participating in the activities will consciously shoulder the glorious mission of "raising the banner, gathering people's hearts, cultivating new talents, revitalizing culture, and displaying the image", further highlighting the responsibility of the core functional area of the capital and the core bearing area of the national cultural center.

At the event ceremony, a short video of the introduction of the "Reading Plan" for party history study and education was played, and the relevant person in charge of the Propaganda Department of the Dongcheng District Party Committee released the overall arrangement of the "Reading Plan", and the guests and representatives of the "reading leader" jointly opened the "Reading Plan" activity of party history study and education. At the event, the relevant situation of the essay solicitation activity in Dongcheng District to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the PARTY was also introduced, and Yan Yansheng, a national first-class actor and former vice president of the Beijing People's Art Theater, read the red classic article "A Hundred Years of Red Boat" on the spot. At the end of the event, a short video of the "Centennial Mission Fulfillment of the Mission" was played with the participation of the representatives of the ten "Reading Circles". After the ceremony, the participants also visited the "Exhibition of Fine Newspapers and Periodicals Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" in Dongcheng District.

On the same day, the "Reading Plan" sub-venue activity was held in the "No. 27 Courtyard" Community Cultural Life Hall in Chaoyangmen Street, and through the "old version" party history study series book exhibition of The Chinese bookstore, the residents' reading and learning of party history, the fun contest of party history knowledge, and the reading and learning corner of party history knowledge, etc., community residents were encouraged to read and learn party history together.

The "Reading Plan" will rely on the two major sections of "Centralized Reading" and "Characteristic Reading", coordinate regional public cultural space resources, link online and offline, and actively promote the extensive participation of reading enthusiasts at all levels, social units, and community families at all levels in the region through diversified presentation forms such as reading theme lectures, reading sharing, and reading short videos.
