Winter Olympic champion Wu Dajing advanced as the third in the group in the second round of the men's 500 meters.

Five days ago, in the beijing race, Wu Dajing was sent off for his second stealing foul in the 500-meter final and missed the medal. In the first round of the 500 meters in Japan, he finished first in the group with a time of 41.324 seconds, and in the second round, he took the lead from the beginning, but in the first corner, Sui Xin of hong Kong, China, fell after colliding with Dubois of Canada, and the referee decided to replay. After starting again, Wu Dajing fell behind Dubois, and two laps later, he was overtaken by Kazakhstan's Azaryev to finish third in the group.
According to the rules, the top two of the eight groups in the second round were directly promoted, and the third of the four best-performing groups also qualified. Wu Dajing's second group had the best results, and he successfully qualified with a time of 41.284 seconds.
Two other Chinese players, Ren Ziwei and Yu Songnan, also entered the third round, with Ren Ziwei winning the first place in the fourth group and Yu Songnan also advancing as the third in the group.

In the next round, Wu Dajing and Ren Ziwei were divided into the second group, along with Azarev. To qualify for the semi-finals, you must be in the top two of the group or the top two in the four groups.
In the men's 1500m race, Ren Ziwei was fouled in the second round, An Kai fell down without results, and among the three participants, only Sun Long entered the third round.

In the women's 500m competition, Zhang Yuting, Qu Chunyu and Fan Kexin all passed the first two rounds of the competition and successfully reached the quarterfinals. But in the 1500m race, the three female players suffered similarly to the men's team. In the first round, Zhang Yuting won the third place in the group and failed to qualify, Guo Yihan was fouled out, and only Han Yutong passed the test of the first two rounds and entered the semifinals.

In the first round of the last mixed 2000m relay, the Chinese team composed of Fan Kexin, Qu Chunyu, Sun Long and Wu Dajing was divided into the third group with Italy, France, Belarus and Ukraine, and the Chinese team led all the way, easily finishing first in the group with a time of 2:43.703, 1.309 seconds ahead of the second-place Italian team.
