Professional Wrestling Pictorial magazine recently released a list of the 500 best wrestlers in the world for 2021, including many WWE names. AEW world champion Kenny Omega is number one, but which star promoted by Vince McMan is the highest ranked? The PWI 500 is based on several criteria, including ring ability, win-loss record, and impact on the sport. The evaluation period for the 2021 list is from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Some of the expected names occupy a higher position. 4 of the top 10 are WWE superstars, and there are 2 others in the top 15. Big in E just missed this list, ranking 13th out of the PWI 500. Anyway, let's take a look at the five WWE superstars who are the highest-ranked on this outstanding list.
Randy Orton – PWI 500 (WWE RAW) Ranked 12nd Randy Orton beat Kit in the "Greatest Wrestling Match of All Time" and won almost all of the races at his peak in the first half of 2020. He also had a long feud with Drew McKintyre for the WWE title and even won his 14th World Championship in the Hell Cage Tournament. However, the Viper soon lost back to Drew. For the next few months, Randyotton was at odds with Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss. While the story is questionable, he went a long way towards the Evil God's two victories that helped him in his ranking on the PWI 500. Randy Orton formed a team with Riddle after defeating the Evil Gods in Wrestling Mania 37. However, RK-Bro's doubles title is outside the evaluation period and will be considered for next year's PWI 500.
Finbarol - PWI 500 ranked eighth (WWE SD&NXT!) While he was now at SmackDown, Finn Barroll was at NXT for a long time and didn't return until July. He achieved outstanding results there and enjoyed a 7-month-long NXT championship rule. Barroll successfully defended the title in fierce clashes with Kyle O'Reilly, Pete Dunn and Adam Cole. During his time there, the Demon Prince really promoted NXT and resumed his peak career in the process, so he felt like a big star again. If WWE continues his momentum after a global championship draw against Roman, Finn Barroll could also have a strong spot in next year's PWI 500.
Drew McIntyre – PWI 500 ranked fourth (WWE RAW)! Just like last year's PWI 500 ranking, former WWE champion Drew McIntyre was named the strongest 4th runner. He continued the momentum of winning the WWE title at Wrestling Mania 36 and has been in major events throughout the evaluation period. Last year, the Scottish warrior, who had a long time to compete with Randy Orton, lost the WWE title but quickly regained it again. McIntyre had successfully fended off attacks from the likes of AJ Styles, Keith Lee and Goldberg, but later lost the belt again because of The Miz's "Money in the Bank". However, the subsequent match with Bobby is believed to be an important reason for his ranking!
Bobby Leslie - PWI 500 ranked third (WWE RAW)! Just like their rivals this year, Bobby Leslie beat Drew McIntyre. From July 2020 to June 2021, he had the happiest 12 months of his career. The Almighty abandoned Lana and formed the "Pain Flat Enterprise" with MVP, Sheldon Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. He remained the national champion for the next 6 months. Eight days after losing the National Championship, Bobby Leslie beat Meez to win the WWE title, and he has maintained the belt ever since. Over the past year, Cam King's WWE champion has shown incredible dominance and stability, and his match against Drew McIntyre stood out in the best WWE competition during the pandemic, proving his place on the list.
Roman-PWI 500 ranked second (WWE SmackDown)! As if in doubt, Roman is currently WWE's top superstar, and in fact, he could easily be ranked first in the PWI 500. His role has been world-class ever since the Tribal Chieftain's stunning return at the 2020 Summer Frenzy Event. Domination is also another dimension, both in the ring and as a character, he elevates everyone he meets, as well as the entire WWE. Roman has taken on an incredibly dominant role, which suits him perfectly and continues to surprise us with his storytelling expertise.
