On the morning of 26 October, the first meeting of the 18th People's Congress of Jianghua Yao Autonomous County was held at the county ethnic culture and science and technology training center to elect the chairman, vice chairmen, and members of the standing committee of the 18th county people's congress, county governors and deputy county chiefs of the county people's government, directors of the county supervision commission, presidents of the county people's court, and chief procurators of the county people's procuratorate.
The leaders seated in the front row of the rostrum of the meeting were: Duan Guijian, secretary of the county party committee; Wu Junchen, deputy secretary of the county party committee and acting county governor; Zhou Runrun, deputy secretary of the county party committee; Huang Zhijian, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Seventeenth County People's Congress; Wu Jijie, nominee candidate for the chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eighteenth County People's Congress; Tang Yahui, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and acting director of the Supervision Commission; Chen Yaming, member of the standing committee of the county party committee and director of the organization department of the county party committee; and executive chairmen of the meeting: Tang Zhen, Luo Mei, Zhong Jiangbo, Li Mingliu, and Tang Xiaoren.
Also seated on the rostrum of the conference were other members of the presidium of the first session of the Eighteenth County People's Congress.
At this meeting, 260 delegates, 4 shall take leave of absence due to illness, and 256 delegates shall be present, in accordance with the quorum.
By a show of hands, the general assembly adopted the list of recommendations of the superintendent voter and the scrutineer, and announced the total number of voters and tellers.
The meeting adopted the method of secret ballot to conduct the election, and the deputies to the people's congress attending the meeting held a high sense of political responsibility for the people of the whole county and cast their most sacred vote.
After election, Wu Ji was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eighteenth County People's Congress; Tang Zhen, Luo Mei, Zhong Jiangbo, Li Mingliu, and Tang Xiaoren were elected vice chairmen of the Standing Committee of the Eighteenth County People's Congress; Wang Ying, Wei Suqing, Wei Aiping, and 29 other comrades were elected as members of the Standing Committee of the Eighteenth County People's Congress; Wu Junchen was elected as the county governor of the county people's government; Jiang Jian, An Qing, He Yongliang, Li Xinjian, Zuo Huasheng, Jiang Xinghui, Xiong Lili, and Liu Xiaoping were elected as deputy county governors of the county people's government Tang Yahui was elected chairman of the county supervision commission; Deng Shurong was elected president of the county people's court; and Shenyang was elected chief procurator of the county people's procuratorate (reported to the Yongzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate for approval by the Standing Committee of the Yongzhou Municipal People's Congress).
At the meeting, Wu Junchen, the newly elected county magistrate of the county people's government, Wu Jijie, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eighteenth County People's Congress, deputy county governor of the county people's government, director of the county supervision commission, president of the county people's court, and members of the standing committee of the eighteenth county people's congress who were elected and adopted swore an oath to the Constitution in turn.
