In recent years, the development of marriage-related industries has been very prosperous. According to the data of enterprise investigation, there are currently 21,000 marriage-related enterprises in China, and the number of registrations in 2020 will reach more than 3,700, an increase of more than 3 times compared with the data ten years ago. In the first half of this year, a total of 1767 newly registered enterprises, an increase of 1.9% year-on-year. From the perspective of urban distribution, at present, the existing marriage agencies in China are mainly distributed in Chengdu, Nanjing, Cangzhou, Shijiazhuang, Chongqing and other cities, of which Chengdu ranks first in the country with 589. Interestingly, the cities with the most marriage matchmaking companies are not first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, but are mostly distributed in new first-tier cities or second- and third-tier cities.
Registrations increased by 1.9% year-on-year in the first half of this year
As of this year's Qixi Festival, enterprise investigation data shows that there are 21,000 marriage-related enterprises in China. In the past decade, the number of registrations of marriage-related enterprises has shown a fluctuating upward trend, of which 3874 newly registered enterprises in 2018 and 4521 registrations in 2019, an increase of 16.7% year-on-year. Under the influence of the epidemic, the number of marriage-related enterprises registered in 2020 was 3705, down 18.0% year-on-year.
Judging from the number of registrations this year, in the first half of 2021, the number of marriage matchmaking-related enterprises registered in China was 1767, an increase of 1.9% year-on-year. From the perspective of registrations in each quarter, the number of registrations in the first and second quarters of this year was 768 and 999 respectively, and the number of registrations in the second quarter increased by 30.1% month-on-month.
Shandong Hebei Jiangsu ranks in the top three regions, and Chengdu and Nanjing have the most enterprises
From the perspective of regional distribution, enterprise investigation data shows that Shandong Province has the largest number of marriage-related enterprises, reaching 3222, and Hebei and Jiangsu ranked second and third with 2653 and 2306 respectively. Ranking 4-8 are Sichuan, Henan, Anhui, Hubei and Hunan.
