On November 19, scientists at nasa claimed that an asteroid 128 meters long, close to the size of the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, could collide with Earth on May 6, 2022. Scientists have determined that the energy with which the asteroid JF1 struck Earth was close to 230 tons of TNT, equivalent to 15 times that of Hiroshima's atomic bomb, and could cause a devastating disaster in just a few seconds, wiping out entire cities and killing millions of people. Although NASA said the probability of the asteroid hitting Earth at the expected date was only 2.6 percent, it is still small, but due to its sheer size and the potential harm of the collision, NASA's monitoring system Sentinel will continue to closely observe its movements.
