International Online Report (Reporters Ma Ruili and Zhang Songzhu): The reporter learned from the 11th Beijing International Film Festival that the "2021 Central and Eastern European Countries Excellent Film Screening Activity" held by the National Film Administration is progressing smoothly, and the audience will watch a number of excellent films from Central and Eastern European countries in the near future.

It is understood that the shortlisted for the "2021 Central and Eastern European Countries Excellent Film BroadcastIng Event" includes the Serbian film "Long Way to Find a Son", which has been nominated for the "Best Film Award" of the 3rd Hainan Island International Film Festival; the Bulgarian film "Glory Etching", which has been nominated for the Golden Leopard Award and the "Special Nomination Award" of the Don Quixote Award at the 69th Locarno International Film Festival; the Greek film "Qunju", which has been nominated for the "Best Film" of the Golden Jue Award of the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival. In addition, there are many excellent films such as the Romanian film "The Doctor's Benevolent Heart".

In recent years, the film cultural exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European countries have become increasingly close, and film festivals and film weeks have been held successively, such as the China Film Archive in recent years, which has held the Greek Film Exhibition and the Serbian Film Exhibition in China, and also held the Chinese Film Exhibition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Tan Yanrong, project leader of the China Film Archive, Chinese animations, action films, and films that show the current situation of Chinese people's lives are the most popular among European audiences.

Wang Xiaonan, project leader of the National Art Film Screening Alliance, said that the broadcast event created a number of "firsts": "Little Harbor" is the first officially introduced Slovak film; "Long Journey" is the first Serbian film seen by Chinese audiences on the big screen; "Doctor's Benevolence" is also the first Time in nearly 30 years that Romanian films have "returned" to the Chinese market.
