It turned out that 45-year-old Zhang Mouxue wanted to eat wild game, and in early September he asked his friend Zheng Mougang for help, asking him to think of catching a wild badger. Zheng Mougang is familiar with the habits of wild badgers, so after receiving a call, he made a wire lasso and placed it in his own farmland (Shizhong District), and soon hunted a wild badger, weighing more than 20 pounds, and did hair removal and segmentation in his kitchen.
On September 6, Zheng Mougang sold badger meat for 800 yuan. That night, Zhang Mouxue stewed some badger meat. "The scope of wild animals protected by the Wildlife Protection Law is by no means limited to the well-known giant pandas and golden snub-nosed monkeys, these rare and endangered wild animals, but also some of the 'three haves' wild protected animals that we usually commonly use, including the most common sparrows, frogs and toads."
Zheng Mougang violated article 341 of the Criminal Law for the crime of illegal hunting, and adopted prohibited hunting methods to hunt wild animals in the forbidden hunting area and the forbidden hunting time. At present, Zheng Mougang has been taken criminal compulsory measures by the police for the crime of illegal hunting.
