The world-renowned pianist was killed by her husband in an English court called it jealousy

According to the British "Independent" reported on February 24, the world-famous pianist Natalia Strelchenko was strangled and beaten to death by her Norwegian husband John Martin, who is a double bass player, at her Manchester home in August 2015. The court said that her husband's death was caused by jealousy.

It is reported that the crime occurred on the second anniversary of the marriage of the two. In subsequent investigations, Martin insisted that he could not remember the events of that day, and that the court trial will continue to be held today.

It is reported that natalia Strelchenko was found in her home with head and neck injuries and that her skull had been severely damaged. According to the Manchester Criminal Court, the 48-year-old Martin has not improved his career and has developed jealousy of his wife's thriving career. Prosecutor Robert Hall said it was simply an angry killing in which the defendant never got what he wanted, and the tragedy happened when he couldn't bear it and his emotions were out of control. It is reported that Martin refused to admit to the murder of his wife, or to kill her by mistake.

On the night of the incident, a Polish violinist was also at the couple's home. She said she had witnessed Martin and Natalia fall down the stairs and strangle her. Subsequently, the violinist fled and called the police. When the police arrived, Martin was upstairs in his bedroom, and when he was arrested, he kept shouting "kill me" and then told the police that he couldn't remember what happened. Hall said Martin still insists he doesn't remember what happened on August 30 last year. Hall told the jury that the defendant's mental state would be an important consideration in the progress of the trial.

Hall said the relationship between the couple was stormy and that police officers were often called to their homes to solve problems. She complained that the defendant Martin controlled her, that martin would be jealous of her if they went out together, that she had a successful career and that he had nothing to do, and that they often quarreled over financial problems or who should do the housework.
