Entertaining "Warring States Heroes"

A destroyed daimyō, a defeated warrior who flees with a wanted princess, is supposed to be a tragic story, but in the framework of the film master Akira Kurosawa, because of a treasure and the addition of two peasants, the tragic story and the escape journey become cheerful. This is the entertained "Warring States Heroes".

The film is still set in japan during the Sengoku period, when the Akizuki family is defeated by Yamamyo, but the legendary golden treasure is not found. Yamana's army mobilized many peasants to dig the castle, including the peasants Taiping and Youqi. After that, the reluctant peasants launched a riot and all ran away. Taiping and Youqi were cooking in the wild, and inadvertently found several gold bars hidden in the firewood, which were also the treasures of the Qiuyue family.

On the other side, the destroyed general Ofaki's family, Natsuki Rokurota, protected the princess from fleeing, preparing to take 200 gold bars embedded in the branches of the tree in an attempt to restore the country. After discovering that the secret had been leaked, the general's initial idea was to kill two peasants. The beginning of the film is heavy, the end of the war, the destruction of the country, the massacre, in order to save the princess, the general will send himself and the princess as a 16-year-old sister, Li Daitao stiff. The death of his sister was exchanged for the end of the enemy's search and the relaxation of defense. The general also used the method of agitation to make the princess pretend to be dumb, so as not to expose the lofty tone she had cultivated since childhood.

The escape process is somewhat dramatic and full of joy. First, two peasants tried to escape with gold and failed, and then the general took the initiative to take out gold bars at the checkpoint, misreporting the information and diverting the attention of the guarding troops. Then, he rescued people in the market town, and escaped the pursuit through the increase in the number of people and the change of the form of firewood transportation. Then, the general single-handedly challenged the defender, and the fleeing team participated in the enemy's torch festival, and the firewood hidden with gold bars was burned. In the end, the group was captured, but at the last moment, they were released by the enemy generals who were indoctrinated... It is not difficult to see that the director is very skilled in plot arrangement and rhythm control, and the unexpected accident in the reasonable few minutes appears one, there are advances, there are reversals, and the overall plot is relaxed and pleasant.

This entertaining "Warring States Heroes" also promotes another unexpected process, providing inspiration for Lucas's "Star Wars", the setting of the two supporting character robots in Star Wars, which comes from the two farmers in this film, constantly fighting and supporting each other.

Of course, I personally feel that compared with Akira Kurosawa's other works, "Warring States Heroes" still lacks a little depth, and the character shaping is more facial.

The general showed wisdom, bravery and might, and the style of a general. The active exposure of the checkpoints across the bridge, the sword grabbing and killing the samurai on the road, and the single-handed tian shou guards in the military camp are very exciting. In particular, the image of holding two large knives in his hand and rushing across the horse to kill is a classic.

The peasants showed greed, stupidity, cowardice and cunning, and the two were extremely selfish, and all their actions were aimed at gold. But he is often cute and bears most of the laughter of the film. The characters don't get bored, but rather make the thrilling itinerary interesting, pushing the plot multiple times in the wrong way.

The princess shows the transformation that comes from the tribulations, from the initial high and willful, to the hatred of the country and the family, to the difficulties of fleeing, and then to the realization and maturity of the face. Especially after being captured, the princess showed an attitude of maturity and satisfaction, believing that seeing the real human world on the way to escape, she felt that she had no regrets about dying.

At the end of the film, the princess successfully escapes, the general saves the treasure, the farmer is rewarded, the ending of the story is very satisfactory, and each character is baptized and grown because of this amazing and joyful journey.

Although it leaves warmth and hope, it still cannot change the chaos of the times, just like the song on the Torch Festival: "Human life, burning with fire, the life of insects, thrown into the fire, the more you think, the more you feel, this is a dark world, floating like a dream, crazy to go on..."
