With the support of the National University of the Arts of Argentina, the first Tango Art Research Center in China was established

The Argentine Embassy in China announced that the Tango Art Research and Practice Center of the Central Conservatory of Music was established on October 26 with the support of the National University of the Arts of Argentina and the Embassy in China. This is the first professional research institute of tango art in China.

Argentine Ambassador to China Niu Wangdao said that in 2022, Argentina and China will usher in the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the Tango Art Research and Practice Center will play a very important role in the cultural exchanges celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina. Culture and art have always been the best bridge to unite the friendship between the two peoples, and the establishment of the Tango Art Research and Practice Center will surely become an important historical event in the bilateral relations between China and Argentina.

At the end of April 2019, the National University of the Arts of Argentina, as the only representative of art schools in South America, attended the second "Belt and Road" Music Education Alliance Conference and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Central Conservatory of Music.

Cristina Vasque, dean of the Conservatory of Music at the National University of the Arts of Argentina, said that under the framework of the strategic cooperation agreement signed between the Central Conservatory of Music and the National University of the Arts of Argentina, a strategic plan will be constructed between the two universities to share knowledge and practices about tango.

According to reports, the Tango Art Research and Practice Center of the Central Conservatory of Music will, with the support of relevant Argentine institutions, establish a tango music database containing musical scores, digital audio-visual and literature, plan and publish tango-related scores and books, invite Arbor teachers to carry out online lectures, workshops and online elective courses, and establish a tango chamber orchestra for teachers and students, and hold concerts on a regular basis.
