127 Hours is a film based on a true story. Directed and filmed by Danny Ball and starring James Frank. The hero of the story is based on the American mountaineer Aaron Roston. It tells the story of an accident he faced while venturing in the canyon of Utah, in the deserted canyon where his arm was unfortunately stuck in a stone crevice, and he could not be rescued, and he was caught in a stone crevice for 127 hours. The prototype of the story, Aaron Roseton, is a mountaineer with an extreme passion for adventure, enjoying adventure, enjoying life, advocating freedom, and perhaps this is his pursuit in life. In order to be able to better immerse himself in this mountaineering adventure, he did not tell anyone where he was going, nor did he bring any communication equipment. Armed with some basic mountain climbing necessities and a video camera, he traveled alone to a canyon in Utah for his adventure. But unfortunately, when he tried to climb up the rock wall in a canyon, he was stuck in the arm by a falling boulder, and at the end of the story, the male protagonist performed amputation on his own and climbed out of the canyon to find rescue before losing consciousness, and successfully rescued. It's more of a documentary film, and the male protagonist, James Frank, does a good job of interpreting the mental process and state that the story prototype Aaron Rosston experienced when he was trapped, so that the audience can immerse themselves in the story. You can feel the kind of mood that the hero experiences in the plot, from frustration to anger to helplessness and want to give up, but at the last moment he tries his best.

At the beginning of the story, the male protagonist Arun arrives at a canyon in Utah and intends to embark on his adventure. As usual, he cut off all contact with the outside world, did not tell anyone where he was, did not reply to his family's messages, and did not carry a phone. Putting on his backpack and camera, he embarked on his expedition. Aaron loves nature and loves adventure, he enjoys the adventure of a person, the feeling of being free and able to immerse himself in nature. He likes to take unusual routes to experience some of the roads that few people take, and see different scenes. This seems to foreshadow the tragedy that will come later. At the beginning of the plot, he comes to the canyon and meets a passerby who is also climbing a mountain on the way to inquire about a place, he does not point to an ordinary path like others, but instead leads the passers-by to a lake hidden under the gap in the canyon. The lake under the canyon was unusually blue and beautiful, and after a short stay, he continued his expedition alone.
His body is unusually agile, constantly shuttling through the canyon, like a real parkour. The camera follows his steps, making people feel immersed, as if they are simultaneously exploring. You can even feel the mystery and charm of the canyon through the lens. So much so that I forget that this is not a leisurely journey but an adventure. However, as Aaron tries to climb up a canyon, a boulder falls to the bottom of the valley along with Aaron. Even more unfortunately, the boulder fell at the same time, and it caught Aaron's arm. Because the stone was so large and heavy, Aaron was unable to pull his arm out of the crevice of the stone. Trapped in the canyon, he kept calling for help, hoping to find someone to save him. But the call was long, and there was no response. For a moment he fell into an endless depression. He thought of many ways to try to pull his arm out, but unfortunately the stone was just too big. A little time passed, and Aaron's arm had begun to be ischemic discolored and began to lose its senses. Trapped in a narrow canyon, he felt furious that there was no way to solve the problem. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't pull his arm out of the crevice of the stone. He knew in his heart that if he continued like this he would lose this arm, and even his life. Time ticked by, he had been trapped for a few days, there was little water or food left, and his body had become very weak. Trapped for a long time, he could not wait for rescue, accompanied only by the crows waiting for his death, he began to feel helpless, and began to record his last words.
Maybe the body has become very weak, and everything in the past flashes in the mind like a walking light. He began to think back to his life, everything he went through, the people he met, his ex-girlfriend, and he even began to regret not replying to his mother's message. I don't know if the walk of life makes me think back to the beauty of life, and he rekindles his expectations for life under the predicament, and finally decides to cut off his arm to save his life in the case of losing his life or his arm. He picked up the knife in his bag, cut off his arm with all his might, and managed to climb out of the canyon, waiting for rescue before fainting.
"127 Hours" runs through the entire film, basically only fixed in one scene for shooting. But it didn't make people bored and lose interest in watching movies. The film slowly narrates the state of mind when it is trapped, in such a small space, time ticks past, and life counts down. Although there is no overly intense scene, it makes us hold our breath and our hearts beat faster.
At many points in life, we will always encounter difficulties of one kind or another, perhaps some people will bury injustice in the world, and some people will take the difficulties encountered as a tempering. Every time of life is like hearing the story of the big turtle and rabbit race from childhood, and everyone's story ends in an unpredictable competition, and there are still infinite possibilities before the end. Freedom, madness, and doing everything possible to feel life may be the thrill that adventure can bring, and it is also the life that the hero pursues. Although in this expedition he lost his arm. But in the face of such a desperate situation, in the case of being unable to remove the boulder, he resolutely chose to give up his arm to fight for survival, and the desire for life he showed, and the extreme sanity in the desperate situation. One has to admire his control over emotions, his self-control and his mentality in the face of difficulties. I also hope that you who watch the movie, in the moment of encountering every difficulty, can also face the difficulties with the best mentality.
