Universal Pictures and Lighting Entertainment's animated feature film The Voice of Joy 2 has released a new poster and voice cast, tentatively scheduled for next year's Christmas season. The Voice of Joy 2 is the sequel to 2016's The Voice of Joy.

New characters were also introduced in the film, such as Bobby Cannavale, Farrell Williams, Halsey, Letisha Wright, Eric Andre, Chelsea Peretti and Bono of U2. Director Garth Jennings and the voice actors from the previous game will also return to The Voice of Joy 2.
This will be the first time Bono has voiced a character and sung in an animated film. This is also Farrell Williams' second collaboration with Lighting Entertainment after "Despicable Me", for which he sang "Happy".
Chris, CEO of Lighting Entertainment, said: "The Voice of Joy 2 goes beyond the animation genre to immerse the audience in a fully realized world with complex characters, each with bold ambitions and associated challenges. ... We're thrilled that the Voice of Joy series has attracted such exceptional people, and we're excited to announce this extraordinary cast. The film celebrates the relentless pursuit of dreams with music, no matter how much challenge stands in your way. This film tells us about the power of optimism and belief. "
The plot of The Voice of Joy 2 is roughly as follows: KoalaBast Moon and his performers will be preparing for their most dazzling stage performance. There's just one obstacle: first they have to convince rock star Clay (Bono) to join them. The problem is that Buster has never met Clay, an artist who was isolated from the world more than a decade after losing his wife and hasn't been seen since.
Buster embarks on a journey to find Clay and persuade him to return to the stage, a reminder of the power of music, and even the most broken hearts can be healed.
Earlier this year, Universal changed the release dates of some films, and The Voice of Joy 2 was one of them.
In April, The Voice of Joy 2 claimed to be released on July 2, 2021, and now Minions: Prequel to Despicable Me will be released on July 2, 2021. Because of this, The Voice of Joy 2 was postponed to December 22, 2021.
The Voice of Joy tells the story of a theater manager who, in order to save his venue, held a singing contest to attract various animals. The Voice of Joy is directed by Garth Jennings and co-directed by Christopher Laudley, and the cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Tarun Edgerton, Torrey Kelly, and Nick Kroll.
