Liaodan 575 is a new variety of large ear type corn, the fruit panicle is long tube type, the panicle length is 20 to 27 cm, the number of panicle rows is 16 to 18 rows, the panicle shaft is red, the grain is yellow, semi-purslane type, and the weight of 1,000 grains is as high as 366.5 to 440 grams. The fruit panicle size is uniform. The higher number of ears and the weight of 1,000 grains create conditions for high yields for maize.
Good disease resistance
Liaodan 575 has been planted in a large area and has shown very good disease resistance, resistance to stem rot, ear rot, large spot disease, and silk smut disease. The live trees are mature, and the standing pole is long, which is suitable for direct harvesting of the grain.
Stable and high yield
Liaodan 575 has good adaptability, good stable yield, great potential for increasing production, spring sowing planting in North East China, the average yield per mu is more than 800 kg, the highest mu yield can reach 2800 kg, planted in 2017, the average mu yield is 2529.8 kg, in 2018, the ultra-high yield public relations day, the highest mu yield reached 2525 kg; in 2018, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Qitai General Field planting, the highest mu yield reached 2985.4 kg. The yield per mu has reached almost 3,000 catties, which is a new variety of corn with stable yield and high yield.
Cultivation technique points
Liaodan 575 has a wide range of suitable species, as long as the ≥ 10 °C active accumulation temperature of 2750 °C can be planted, in the production of all areas that can grow Xianyu 335 can be planted. The best sowing period is from April 20 to May 15 in north China, and the optimal planting density is about 4,000 plants per mu. Summer sowing in Huang-Huai-Hai area, the best sowing period is from late May to early to mid-June, the best sowing density per mu is 4500 plants, watering water, pregnant ear water and grouting water, paying attention to the prevention and control of pests such as thrips, aphids and ground tigers at the seedling stage, paying attention to the control of corn borers in the big horn mouth stage, harvesting when the milk line of the grain disappears or a black layer appears at the tip of the grain.
