Peter Chen was one of the main performers of "Nostalgia" at this year's Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, and also one of the elderly people who participated in the party. Mr. Chen Peter was born on August 12, 1943 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, to a military family, and has turned 78 this year (some media say that Mr. Chen Peter is 77 years old, which is obviously wrong).
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Chen Peter, whose real name is Chen Xiaoyin, followed his parents to Taiwan when he was 3 years old, taught himself guitar when he was studying, and ran to the song hall to sing after graduating from college, and was banned in Taiwan before he was released for Ling Feng in the late 1980s. At this time, the tedious affairs of the performing arts union overwhelmed Peter Chen, suffering from depression and choosing to leave Taiwan, in 1988, he gradually moved his career from Taiwan to the mainland when he returned to his hometown for the first time, and began to compose music for ancient Chinese poetry, and moved from Taiwan to Beijing in 1991.
In 2018, Peter Chen successively participated in the premiere of the sixth phase of the CCTV variety show "Classic Yong Chuan", interpreting the "Qingyu Case , New Year's Eve" of the Southern Song Dynasty, and the fourth premiere of "The Voice of China 2018", singing the theme song "Remember me" of "Dream Quest".
In 2019, Peter Chen successively sang Du Fu's "Chengdu Fu" in "Classic Arias" and "A Cut of Plum" at the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala of China Central Radio and Television Corporation in 2019.
