Light Bunko VOL.1 (hereinafter referred to as Light Library): Hello Koga Kazuto, we are Light Bunko Vol.1, and it is an honor to interview you today. First of all, please introduce yourself to the reader first

KazutoKoga : Hello, I'm Kazuomi Koga, the animation supervisor of "Loan Girlfriend". It's a pleasure to talk to you.

Light Library: Koga Kazutomo, you once said that your production motto is "to produce cost-effective video content", how does this reflect in "Renting a Girlfriend"?

Koga: In the anime "Rent a Girlfriend", the first thing is to reflect the cuteness of the female characters who appear. Especially when it comes to curling hairstyles, detail is added, including pupils and hair are also treated multiple times. On the contrary, when drawing long hair, some omissions will be made to reduce the burden of painting to achieve balance. In addition, some plot developments that are not very necessary will be omitted, which can better connect the scene content to improve the sense of rhythm and reduce the number of drawings. In terms of background art, too, the painting background is more inclined to popular style or omitted than realistic, so that the audience's attention is focused on the character. That is, to maximize the advantages of the previous limited animation techniques.

Light Library: One of the great charms of "Renting a Girlfriend" is that there are a wealth of female characters, what do you think can only be expressed through animation?

Koga: "Renting a Girlfriend" can only be expressed through animation, such as the cute demeanor of the female characters, needless to say, and the character's general manager, Miss Hirayama, who designed the purification character for the animation. Then there is the performance of the voice actors who give the characters their voices and souls.

Indecisive and not very reliable, so what do you think is the most important reason why he can capture the hearts of female characters?

Koga: Although the male protagonist and Ya are waste wood college students with many shortcomings, he has the strongest mobility. In the scene where everyone is hesitant, the gentleness that can really think about each other and the stupidity that can carry it through to the end are the reasons why the hearts of female characters who are sometimes confused, sometimes stagnant, and sometimes troubled can be grasped.

Light Library: Next, talk about supervising your favorite female characters and reasons

Koga: Favorite female character... All charming can't choose. Everyone has a different charm, which is like asking what cuisine is best in China.

Light Library: That's the way it is. So can you tell us about anything that impressed you about the production scene?

Koga: When dubbing, the imagery was in good condition, the voice actors were very good, and there were a lot of cases where the dubbing work ended quickly, and then everyone would go to dinner together. After the production is completed, everyone will also hold a weekly cocktail party, or when the animation is played, the live broadcast will be sent. I have hardly heard of such a happy and harmonious production scene.

After this, the original will be more exciting and bring you a shock to your heart. His story with them will continue. Your love for this work will continue in the second issue of the anime.
