At the end of the year, good dramas continue, before we have recommended several new dramas, today I want to give you Amway, but also a dark horse drama that has recently burst the circle of friends and Weibo, "Sweet Home".
"Sweet Family", a new web series launched by Netflix in South Korea after "Kingdom", released 10 episodes of the season last Monday.

There are not a few people who stay up all night to brush the drama, and the initial score of "Sweet Family" on Douban suddenly rushed to 8.6 points. Although it has now slowly dropped to 8.0 points, in the new dramas of the same period, this score can still be scored (and it is scored by nearly 30,000 people, which is still very representative).
The most mentioned look and feel in the comments is a "cool" word, and the story can't stop in one go.
This drama not only poked at the G-spot of domestic audiences, this set of dramas in the first weekend of launch, in South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Qatar, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan 7 countries have topped the Netflix viewing list, it can be said that it is popular in most of East Asia and Southeast Asia.
Sure enough, Netflix Dafa is good!
The story of Sweet Home bears similarities to the previous Kingdom, as well as Netflix's recently launched new drama "Alice in the Land of the Dead" in Japan, which is based on the manga and focuses on the cruel survival of extreme environments.
It seems that Netflix has figured out the rules of creation in Japan and South Korea, and learned that the types of works recognized by the market, at least in terms of entertainment and business, can be said to have achieved very successful results.
Back to the series itself, the story is set in a monster-infested world, the originally peaceful city suddenly appeared countless bloodthirsty monsters, the whole world became a river of blood, smoke filled hell.
This setting sounds very expensive, but the story cleverly locks the narrative space in a residential building, telling the story of the residents fighting monsters here. The building called the Green Home has monsters inside and outside, and the surviving humans are squeezed into the narrow space on the first floor, surviving with limited resources to sustain themselves.
The building is a testing ground and a miniature world in which people's choices and trade-offs in the face of existential crises have also become universal human revelations.
However, the temptation and test of human nature is an indispensable motif in all survival theme works, and American dramas such as "Lost" and "The Walking Dead" have already been told before, and they are not new here.
Therefore, the biggest highlight of "Sweet Home", to say it, is still in the super cool look, all kinds of flesh and blood, strange ways of dying, piles of corpses and mutilations, and the degree of blood is explosive.
【The following pictures may cause discomfort, please be careful!!! 】
What's more interesting is the monster of different shapes, the crack-mouth monster with its tongue that can reach eighteen meters away,
The Hulk with a strange face in disguise,
Human-faced spider essence,
There is also a big-eared monster that resembles a relic of Sanxingdui:
There is a scene where various monsters rush out, with the eerie lights of red and blue high contrast, it is simply a group of demons dancing, which makes people see the pleasure of cult films.
Where did these monsters come from?
As the plot progresses, the number of monsters increases, and the mystery is gradually revealed.
Monsters are transformed by people.
And this is also the most terrifying and at the same time the most attractive point of the whole show, because you don't know at what moment the character in front of you will change from a living person to a bloodthirsty monster with no sense.
It is worth mentioning that the monsters in the play are not zombies, infected by blood or air or other means, but born from the desires in their hearts.
The setting that desires turn into monsters is also directed at human nature, and explains why the image of each monster is so different —their appearance points to the deepest desires and obsessions in the heart.
For example, the bald uncle has become a hairy monster, like a humanoid mop;
The father who failed to catch his son turned into a long-handed monster in chagrin, and caught it when he saw a living thing;
The woman who lost her beloved daughter directly became a huge womb and re-conceived new life:
The most cruel point of this play is that the obsession generated by desire is good and bad, selfless and selfish, but people will not be saved from becoming monsters because they uphold good and selfless desires.
So the cool drama that slaughtered the surviving monsters at the beginning became a sadistic drama in the second half:
The monster in front of you may be the person you trust or are closest to, how do you do it;
People with good intentions are gradually becoming monsters, and what kind of choices and sacrifices will he make?
These have become one of the highlights of the second half of the series.
As a group play, most of the characters in "Sweet Home" are very full of shaping, which will make the audience have an emotional connection to the life in it, even the most greedy and afraid of death, and finally can see the brilliance of humanity from them.
Although the series is set in a cruel and dark real world, the background of the story is still warm overall.
But in the process of presenting each character, the director very cunningly uses the method of first suppressing and then promoting, portraying a good person as a bad person, or rather, an unpleasant person before portraying a good person.
The first thing we came into contact with was cha xiuxian, who rented a small room in a green home by himself, and then slowly learned that this teenager had an emotional disability and could not go to school, and spent his days playing games in the room, bent on death.
His family was killed in a car accident, and at the funeral he cried in front of the concierge, disgusted that the money left by his parents was not enough to live.
Simply waste wood + white-eyed wolf setting.
The other residents of the building are also strange:
The security guard is squeezed by the boss and the occupants in turn, and the mind gradually appears abnormal, often in a daze in front of the cat outside the door;
The kindergarten manager of the building gave the security guard a box of fish, and as soon as the lid was opened, flies flew all over the sky, and the fish already stinked;
A mother pushes a stroller to wait for the elevator, but there are no children in the stroller, and her daughter has died in an accident;
The girl who danced the ballet alone on the top floor watched the male protagonist jump off the building, but advised the other party not to die here, causing trouble for the other residents of the building;
Strange religious uncle, every sentence is indispensable to "Lord", pious enough to make people's hearts hairy;
There is also a flower-faced uncle, dressed as an underworld, torturing another stranger in the room in a cruel way.
Every character has a stain and an unspeakable secret.
However, as the plot unfolds, the highlights of these people's past and personalities are gradually revealed.
The male protagonist's loneliness and indifference are due to campus violence, and the parents' incomprehension and inaction have pushed him into the abyss.
Ballet girls can not continue to learn to dance because of foot injuries, and carrying her brother's favor makes her even more guilty, and can only arm and exile herself with meanness and indifference.
The mother's reluctance to her children, the kindness of the uncle who is almost unadulterated, and the heavy trust and mission of the flower-faced uncle with friends make these characters more and more attractive.
But it is precisely because of these charms that the fate of the characters in the story will be turned around, which seems too sadistic.
One of the toughest things about directors and writers is that they don't give these characters much of an aura, and these characters can go offline at any time, either killed by monsters or become monsters themselves. The audience never knows who will be next, and whether it will be their favorite character.
For such a work full of bloody violence, cruel darkness and the ugliness of human nature, the name "Sweet Home" is actually full of irony.
The place where the characters in the play are not sweet at all, there are killings and injuries, betrayals and suspicions everywhere, and the sweet home is more like an unattainable wish, and the wish itself may turn them into monsters and make heaven into hell.
But on the other hand, this space seems to carry countless ugliness, but the outside world may be more desperate than here, monsters killing each other, and people are also engaged in hunting and killing games, burning and looting, and seizing limited resources.
So how can this seemingly insoluble situation be terminated? Where is Sweet Home?
These questions will not be answered until the second season.
It cannot be denied that the drama of "Sweet Home" itself also has many flaws, and the bugs in the plot are very obvious, including many pits in the setting that have not been filled in time.
For example, why does desire turn people into monsters, is it a disease, or a curse, or an alien possession? Why can some people switch freely between humans and monsters in different modes, and what is the mechanism and principle behind it?
These huge pits on the story hope to be perfectly filled in the subsequent stories.
Putting aside these problems, "Sweet Home" is still a thrill-filled cool drama, and if there is no drama to watch recently, it is also a good choice to use it to kill time.
