At about 8:00 a.m. on October 11, 2021, the Pine Mountain Squadron of the Ring Food and Drug Investigation Brigade of the Weng Niu Special Banner Public Security Bureau received an alarm call, saying that an unknown species of bird fell in front of the window of the herdsman Ha of Wudan Town, and seemed to be injured, and Ha did not know how to deal with it, so he called for help.
After receiving the police, the Pine Mountain Squadron immediately dispatched the police to Ha's house. According to Ha, the bird flew down to his window last night, and after observation, he found that it was a little difficult to walk, so Ha used a bird cage to buckle and put corn to feed. The next morning I found that the bird was much better than yesterday, although it still looked a little lame, but when people walked into it, they had to break the cage and take off.

The police transported it to the Wildlife Conservation Center of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and found a professional to identify and learned that the bird was a sparrowhawk, which is a national second-level protected animal. Sparrowhawks are small birds of prey, 30---41 cm long, broad and rounded wings, long tails, often nest in dense montane forests and forest edges, especially in coniferous forests or coniferous broad-leaved mixed forests in river valleys, tall trees near streams, but also in the forest edge of the sparse forest of red pine, larch and other tall trees nest, nests are mainly composed of thin pine branches and other thin branches. The outer edge of the nest is often woven with fresh pine branches with green leaves, and the inner pad is lined with pine needles and feathers. The nest is small and solid, round and thick in the shape of a dish or disc, with a height of 10-20 meters from the ground. Each clutch lays 5 to 6 eggs, and the color of the eggs is light blue and white, and there are a few small purple-brown spots, especially the outer end is denser. The hatched eggs are off-white. Parent birds have a strong nest protection behavior during egg incubation, and when they find someone entering the nest area, they often show an attacking posture or swoop down.
After detailed examination by professionals, the sparrowhawk was in good health, there was no major trauma, but there was a slight tear between the toes, and after disinfection and careful feeding, the sparrowhawk was released into nature with the consent of the team leader.
